Directly control the functional units of your subsidiary

Post by David »

We would like to keep you guys informed about the development progress of this expansion pack.

The below screenshots shows the new feature that allows the player to directly control the functional units of a subsidiary that the player's company has owned 75% or more shares.

We are still experimenting with this new feature as there may be unexpected effects when the player can interfere with the operations of a subsidiary so directly.

This looks pretty good.

I suggest that once you gain 75% the HQ becomes controllable so you can hire and fire the CEO and have similar controls to the current COO such as ability to decide what to sell.

Right now it is hard to build up a subsidiary. This will help a lot because we can now support with better quality supplies. I find the AI sometimes has trouble keeping up to demand, it won't expand even when I'm pushing their product, then they just put it on internal sale.
There should also be an option for internal sale to yes, no and subsidiary so we can sell internal and subsidiary only if you want to restrict higher quality materials from your competitors.

Looks like we are slowly marching toward contract-based wholesale, than open auctioned wholesale, If we have a 4th, 5th options like strategy partner, and contract retailers, where subsidiaries will be like the highest level of contract partner, right behind your own firms.
