Re: New feature: Technologies
I understood what you meant. In order to evaluate the feasibility of implementing this feature, please come up with a full example, listing the technologies that are required for each custom product. If your example is smartphone, you may define a number of smart phone custom images, and come up with a list of technologies and the required tech levels as well, for each custom product image of smart phone.

When the "V8 Engine" tech research is finished, the factory will be able to manufacture the new product(We don't have to do the Product Research again), when the "Oil-Electric Engine" research is finished, it is also possible to sell the new product (with a custom product image) alongside with an old product.
As to the quality, there is an important rule: product with more and higher technologies should have a better quality level than thoes with less and lower technologies.
I think this is simple.
It will be my pleasure to talk about the further details about how to implement this feature with you,David.

It would be helpful if you could also come up with a full example, listing the technologies that are required for each custom product. This will serve as kind of a case study for our dev team to evaluate the feasibility of this suggestion.

Re: New feature: Technologies
I mean maybe we can customize technologies in game instead of using the MOD. Because whenever we want to add a new tech, we have to quit the game to make a new MOD and start from the beginning, because the saved game files from different MOD are not compatible. But with product customization we can add a new product any time we want,we don't have to quit and start over,so why don't we make technologies customizable and combine these two features together?David wrote:It would be helpful if you could also come up with a full example, listing the technologies that are required for each custom product.
