Give us more freedom in the game. Please!

Post by Yale »

Look at these images.

It took me 3 days to modify these expensive cars(cabriolet&sports car&super sports car&SUV etc.) and their materials, but when I finally manufacture it and sell it in the retail store, I was surprised to find that the overall rating is -100 so the demand is 0 and I can not sell any one of it because its price is way beyond the standard price.

And it also took me 3 days to figure out why.But unfortunately I can't do anything to deal with it. I tried to change the digits of the Product_Types.DBF file and increase the range of standard price, but it didn't work,it says it's invalid.

This makes me feel so bad.I am nearly tired of playing this game, because most of time I was trying to figure out the problem of the game, not playing the game.

And the products which took my 3 days to modify but eventually I couldn't sell them also makes me feel so bad.

Which is why I am not gonna play this game anymore if we can't sell expensive products, and even if the new DLC is released I will not buy it, because it's ridiculous we can only sell products that cost no more than 20,000 bucks.

The players need more freedom in the game. That's all I wanna say.

I would agree that being able to expand the number of luxury products would be great. I can however understand the reason not to allow the player to set whatever price they want. Setting the standard price has a dramatic affect on the balance of the game. If you are going to modify the game you have to be careful and go through the time consuming process to make sure the balance is maintained. It would be great though to be able to sell some of the high end automobiles or even boats and planes.

I think having only one topic on the forum for this topic is sufficient. We don't need to have two topics or post multiple times about it. We need to allow the developers time to consider the suggestions and take everything into consideration. At the end of the day not all suggestions will be able to make it into the game even though it can be so frustrating and disappointing. I don't know how many times I've suggested a change to the retail layout.

Ok,I am sorrry, I've deleted one of the topics, I just wanna make sure the developers have seen it,and whether they will take it into consideration or not at least I want to know the answer, the reply.

Look, I am Chinese, when the sky is awake in America it is at night in China ,I stay up every night and sit in front of the computer just to wait for the reply.Because you know I love the game.

But there is one thing, it might affacts the balance of the game but setting the standard price is free, those who don't want to affact the balance could play with official standard price, and those who want to play the game in their own ways could set a costom standard price, it's all free.

I have no idea what the developers are worried about, but if a normal, ordinary feature in the real world that would affacts the game balance, I have to say it is not supposed to happen in a great real business simulation game.

I couldn't agree more. Whenever a game is set up for player modification, I am always in support of full modification of just about every aspect of the game. Obviously not all players will have the desire or technical abilities to create a MOD (and I think the Capitalism Lab team did a good job of providing great directions), but we shouldn't limit the games capabilities just because not all end users will use a certain feature.
