Errors with v3.0.15 [Added more on Oct 5]

Post by Thanatos »

I am getting Error#1, Error#6, Error#8, Error#10 while running v3.0.15 with MOD and script. I can't tell if those error are MOD specific or its an error of v3.0.15, but the other errors occurred even if there is no MOD or script.

Errors
1) ItemArray[] is deleted
**Occurred with MOD and script**
Error #1.jpg
Error #1.jpg (11.96 KiB) Viewed 2747 times
This error keeps occurring at June 16th and disappears if I sell my oil well before that date. (I am still trying to repeat this error without MOD. I will let you know when I can.)

-After a few test, it seems the error only occurs when I use Pre-defined Layout "Plan 3/4" for the oil well. The error disappeared (at least for now) after I switched the layout plan.

2)Error on File: Group2.cpp
Line: 598
**Occurred with no MOD or script**
Error #2.jpg
Error #2.jpg (11.95 KiB) Viewed 2747 times
This error occurs when trying to merge subsidiary with itself (not sure why there is even such an option). [For Example: How would you like Company A to acquire the remaining shares of Company A?]

3)GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 30, 31
**Occurred with no MOD or script**
Error #3.jpg
Error #3.jpg (401.04 KiB) Viewed 2747 times
4)GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 43, 46
**Occurred with no MOD or script**
Error #4.jpg
Error #4.jpg (396.42 KiB) Viewed 2746 times
5)GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 47, 49
**Occurred with no MOD or script**
Error #5.jpg
Error #5.jpg (12.82 KiB) Viewed 2745 times
6)GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 45, 45
**Occurred with MOD and script**
Error #6.jpg
Error #6.jpg (79.16 KiB) Viewed 2734 times
I merged a company into my subsidiary and got the error when I clicked "Quit to Main Menu".

-Update- : This error now occurs whenever I load a save file, and try to load another save file while in game(for example: the last save file before it). Seems to be recurring issue that persist if you continue to play with the save file that had this issue. (This error seems to be the only one that can not be dodged or temporarily resolved.)

7)Error on File: j_rd.cpp
Line: 760
**Occurred with no MOD and script**
Error #7.jpg
Error #7.jpg (47.1 KiB) Viewed 2733 times
Error occurs if the product is already being researched (through your subsidiary) and you try to research it with a different time frame in another R&D firm (through the same subsidiary). The error does not occur if you are doing it through your first company/the company you start with. Seems to be an error with how R&D works in the subsidiary.

8)Error on File: al_INPT.CPP
Line: 290
**Occurred with MOD and script**
Error #8.jpg
Error #8.jpg (11.38 KiB) Viewed 2729 times
-Update-: Issue seems to be resolved after altering a layout plan in a factory. Seems to be an issue with the layout or at least related to it.

9)Error on File: firm.cpp
Line: 806
**Occurred with no MOD and script**
Error #9.jpg
Error #9.jpg (10.28 KiB) Viewed 2710 times
Error occurs if you try to relocate a firm (R&D, Factory) owned by your subsidiary on to a plot of land your holding/first company owns. This error is rather odd, since it doesn't let you move a farm or Department store owned by your subsidiary to be relocated on a plot of land your holding company owns. Therefore no error. But when you do the reverse, moving a farm your holding company owns on to a plot of land your subsidiary owns, the same error occurs. (Seems some stores have problems with subsidiary -> holding, while others do not. But seems all the one I've tested has errors when you move a firm from holding -> subsidiary does.)

10)GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 0, 45
**Occurred with MOD and script**
Error #10.jpg
Error #10.jpg (54.85 KiB) Viewed 2709 times
Error occurred when I clicked on "Relocate Firm" (Firm = Factory).

Suggestions
1)Like "Scope of Production", in a similar fashion, allow us to be able to restrict/permit what the firm can sell (Retail, at least, the class type if individual products would become too excessive if the MOD has too much products) and what the firm can research (R&D). Seems rather awkward if you restrict the firm to produce only beverages but they keep on researching jeans (waste of cash). Or if you want the subsidiary to focus on selling certain products due to expertise and they keep trying to sell products your holding company sells (market cannibalism).

???
1) Not sure if its just me, but I noticed there was a rename.bat file in both the Large and Small "Logos" (MOD_kit/Images/Logos/Large/6) folder. The other Logos/Large folders did not seem to have the same file. Was wondering if this was an error or a required file.

We will investigate the problems.

Could you please provide your save game files for the following bugs: #1,3,4,5,6,8,10?

You can find save game files of Capitalism Lab from:
C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta\SAVE

If your savegame uses a MOD, please provide us with the MOD files as well. You may either provide us a direct download link to the MOD or you may ZIP the MOD files in your MOD folder together with the save game file.

You may provide us with your save game file by posting it here on the forum as a ZIP file attachment, or email the files to us at info@enlight.com.

Thanks

I have over 100 save files for this patch, and given the error occurred at unexpected times (did not save for a long time from when I first loaded the file). So it would take some time to find them or recreate them. I will see what I can find or recreate. But in the meantime, I found another error while trying to locate Error #3, 4, 5.

11) Error on File: stock.cpp
Line: 670
**No MOD or Script**
Error #11.jpg
Error #11.jpg (359.15 KiB) Viewed 2696 times
Save File Name: TEST_003
TEST_003.rar
(1.49 MiB) Downloaded 175 times
Steps to recreate the error is as follows:
1. Go to Stock Exchange
2. Use Memory Today (Company) to purchase all of the outstanding shares of itself (Memory Today's Public Shareholder's share)
3. Click on Happy Resource and click on Merger, "Pay Cash" (Memory Today to acquire the remaining shares of Happy Resource)

12) GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 26, 32
**No MOD or Script**
Error #12.jpg
Error #12.jpg (394.74 KiB) Viewed 2692 times
Save File Name: TEST_013
TEST_013.rar
(1.31 MiB) Downloaded 183 times
Steps:
1. Go to Stock Exchange
2. Use Touch Point (Company) to merge with Zeta Group by using "Pay Cash" or "Issue Shares"

13) There is currently a problem with displaying private companies of a public firm (not previously a subsidiary) after control is lost. For example in the save file (TEST_016) you will notice Matt Stylists was a private corporation of Zeta Group. By looking at the news in save file (TEST_018) you can tell after Matt Stylists bought shares of Zeta Group from Touch Point, Matt Stylists has disappeared from "Corporations", "Corporate Details", "Stock Exchange" tabs.
Saved File Name: TEST_016 (Listed as Private Corporation), TEST_018 (Disappeared)
Test16n18.rar
(2.63 MiB) Downloaded 225 times
14) GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 24, 34
**No MOD or script**
Error #14.jpg
Error #14.jpg (370.65 KiB) Viewed 2691 times
Save File Name: TEST_024
TEST_024.rar
(1.32 MiB) Downloaded 182 times
Steps:
1. Go to Stock Exchange
2. Use Super Force (Company) to merge with Arctic Rapid by using "Pay Cash" or "Issue Shares"

*Seems the GroupArray[] errors are related to the merging of the subsidiary or problems caused by the subsidiary merged.

Thanks to the files you provided, we were able to fix all the bugs you reported in this post except #1 and #8.

If you have saved games that can be used for triggering the bugs #1 and #8, it will help us nail down these two remaining bugs.

Found error #1 without MOD and script, seems its created by a subsidiary's oil well using Pre-defined Layout 3/4 (Not certain if the other layout gives off error, but 3/4 definitely does).
Save File Name: TEST_006
TEST_006.rar
(1.31 MiB) Downloaded 218 times
Steps:
1. Continue the timer after loading the save file and the error should show up when you reach Apr 8th.

Error#8 is gonna to be difficulty to find as I don't remember exactly what layout I used that caused the error. But error #8 might be related to error #1, as it was also through a firm (Error #8 = Factory, Error #1 = Oil Well) owned by a subsidiary.

You might have already fixed this error but its a different code from the above GroupArray[] errors, so I posted it just in case.

15) GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 25, 41
Error #15.jpg
Error #15.jpg (395.02 KiB) Viewed 2667 times
Save File Name: TEST_008
TEST_008.rar
(1.36 MiB) Downloaded 215 times
16) GroupArray[] is deleted. Error codes: 25, 38
Error #16.jpg
Error #16.jpg (436.7 KiB) Viewed 2666 times
Save File Name: TEST_009
TEST_009.rar
(1.36 MiB) Downloaded 207 times
