Hi,
Here is a suggestion for ai script.
AI should have a preset consideration for the value of certain market segments.
This could be done on a product class basis or specific products.
I have found that ai will spend lots of money on tech and production of products like tricycle or water chestnuts or other low-margin low necessity products, instead of products like electronics, clothing, and other high margin, high necessity products.

Re: Suggestion
There is already a variable called TECH_IMPT in the Product_Types.DBF for this purpose.
For details, please see: http://www.capitalismlab.com/advanced-m ... ducts.html
TECH_IMPT Numeric 0 to 9
This variable, which indicates the technology importance for semi products, is used by AI companies in the game only.
Since a semi product does not have the attribute "Quality Concern" as in consumer products, when AI companies consider whether it is worth investing into R&D for improving the quality of the semi product, this "Tech Importance" variable will aid the AI to make decisions.
It is possible that the MOD was not yet designed to take advantage of using this variable yet. This could be improved by editing the MOD's product_types.dbf file and set the values.
