Hi David
When transferring R&D firm between subsidiaries, all research in it is cancelled. Is it a bug or a feature?

Re: R&D firm transfer
It is intended that way because the tech levels of each company are different.
e.g. company A researching sport shoes from 500 tech level to 600.
company B's sport shoes level is only 100. When you transfer a R&D center from company A to company B, the original R&D plan thus becomes invalid.

Is this like when merging companies where if the company already is R&D the product in the acquired R&D unit?David wrote:It is intended that way because the tech levels of each company are different.

Re: R&D firm transfer
No, it simply drops any R&D task.
I just started a game with a couple of subsidiaries. One of them started R&D unit and I transferred it to my main company.
I think that this transfer must be more intelligent. Without mandatory research cancellation.

Re: R&D firm transfer
it should cancel only if the new firm or r and d unit has higher unit level and ans/or researching a higher target technology level.
