I like it mate, How we can implement it?
Thoughts
Maybe a joint venture with an investment bank?
Perhaps having more potential CEO's in the list that haven't created or can't due to max competitors rule. They could then use there capital for a joint venture.
Who would run the company?
How would you manage your relationship with each other. IE BP and the Russian oil company, which have now fallen out with each other, leaving BP to sell it shares in the company.
Look forward to trying to work this out with the forum.

Good idea, it sounds like a diplomatic interface between companies could be a possible way to work together.
In my imagination it could be something like that:
All Firms/CEOs have already a relation (in the game) with one another due to businesses they do with one another. Depending on the releationsship some agreements between them should be possible.
The first step could be a formal agreement about working together, which means the two companies gets trade offs if buying or selling products between the two.
For example: If a product from company (a) is bought by companies (b) and (c) where companies (a) and (c) have a trade agreement, company (c) gets the products first and the buying to company (b) has a lower weight and it will only get the products if the demand of company (c) is already satisfied.
in the next steps and further development of the diplomatic relations there could be more agreements like:
- Discount agreements
- price agreements (oh my god, our luck this is impossible in the real world)
- Development agreements
- production agreements
Just a quick shot for now, maybe we can work out more together?

Actually,
Its so simple as
one player can put the offer to the another player if there is a acceptance of the offer
then, there would be various options showing various options to share assets, profits production,duration of the business etc..
and if there any changes made by any of the party then he has to get acceptance from the player with whom he is ventured
It will help players to share assets,risk,entering new market (geographically, product wise) to capture the market of leader firm
by synergy effect.
David and team can make it better and can include J/V as an new feature of the game
still waiting for new Ideas like lord and baz has posted ..
