We made some changes to the Cap Lab server yesterday. Did any of you encounter any problems playing Cap Lab lately, like getting any error messages saying that there are server connection or login problems?

If so, please try post here.

There is a possibility with some anti-virus software's firewall blocking communication at times. But we are not sure yet. If you encounter any problems, please post here and we will investigate it.

Hello David,

I encountered a connection problem (no connection to server) on one of my pcs with mcafee anti-virus and startup of the game. Unfortunately i have no screenshot from it and are away from that pc for next three weeks.
On my second pc runs AVG anti-virus with no problems on game startup.

Best regeres

1) What error message did you get?

2) Have you upgraded to 1.913 using the patch? If so, have you registered on http://www.capitalismlab.com/caplab-account.html ? If so, are you using your new username and password for CapStart.bat ? (You may see the PDF instruction document about how to set CapStart.bat).

I did update. and I figured out how to correct the error. I corrected it by launching the shortcut on the desktop that was made when I installed the beta rather than running the .bat directly from the folder.

The error in specifics incase anyone else gets it was: Error connecting to server. Password incorrect.

EDIT: Nevermind still getting the error. it just took a little longer to popup this time.

EDIT 2: I got the email for beta this morning and I added the supplied password and username into the .bat I just tried to register using that link you provided but when I click the email it sends. I do not have an activation code to enter.

The database indicates that you have already activated it.

1) Are you using the username and password you registered for CapLogin.bat ?

2) What error message did you get? Password incorrect or connection error?

The error says verbatim: SERVER CONNECTION ERROR. Error logging into the server. Password incorrect. The game will shut down now.

And I'm using the password I got in the beta Email today for my caplab.bat file. Should I be using the password I registered on the link you provided just a moment ago?

EDIT: Turns out that was it. Thank you David. The game is running now.
