Would currency be reflected real-time?

Post by webmaster »

If this is a US$ only game, no problem.

If it's going to go global, would it sync online with real exchange rate?

Hi webmaster.

The time in this game passes much faster than in the "real world", so real time currency exchange rates would not apply

It is definitely easier to have a single currency in this game too

Anyway, simulating change rates between 7 different countries would be a pain.

On the other hand, while it's painful, it can be of much use, say you're buying a product for $ while most of your sales are € and you have a fixed sales contract. First, fluctuating exchange rates could be a source of income, second, it would affect what one can do to NPC/other players' companies.

Of course, it would be great to have at least such an option, although it would be definitely a tough task to carry out.

I would greatly prefer that first, growth was different between each city/country.
