Hello everyone,

maybe I am stupid to ask, but is there a reason, why the NPC corps are building their farms and factories close to the center of the cities? Is there any advantage to do so? R&D may make sense but production facilities and FAMRS?

i think is for the land upvalue with time
if you invest far of the city your land price not grow so high quickly but if you build near the CDB you can gain some profit faster because your not alone be interrested by customer traffic and residentiel/commercial density
after few year you can think about a moved to get the place for a brand new store for your new high tech-value product

in the CES dlc you can make some management of land when your are mayor
you can move propriety where you want
and make some reduction of the farmland price by using farmzone
and use of the mayor tool can do many more good thing for your city

It does my head in when you cant get stores in around the expensive parts of the cities because of R&D facilities and factories.

Makes more sense to build factoried in cheaper out the way spaces, but then you have a higher freight cost. TBH, the freight cost is so minimal factories should not be allowed to be built in the expensive parts of the cities
