Hi David,
I have found another set of bugs in 5.4.17
1. Cannot buy private company if it has more than one owner (for example after a friendly merge)
2. Stock returns page does not calculate purchase price if stocks are bought from AI player (not from public shareholder)

Re: 5.4.17 Release Bugs
Addition. Very old bug. Tax returns.
Currently the game counts tax returns from loans in the following way:
I have 1000m debt at 5%p/a. I pay 50m p/a
On the other hand I have 100m profit. From this money I have to pay 18% income tax which is 18m.
Currently in game in this situation I will receive 18m tax return and also I will receive 32m in future debt deduction which is totally wrong.
In fact this tax return should be deducted from my taxable profit and as a result I should pay 18%*(100m-50m)=9m income tax.
I suspect that other areas of tax system works wrong as well because in my previous games I saw future tax deductions in situations that I cannot explain. For example, tax deductions in an absolutely healthy subsidiary that runs Telecom companies and has no other complications. Unfortunately since the code is closed I cannot do the math here and as a result I can only ask to look at the whole tax system, not only to loan tax returns.

Another one. you can use land-planning tool even if you're not the mayor. Open the tool in the city where you have the mayor and use left-right buttons to navigate through cities

Ecommerce sales do not reflect actual prices. In my case I never sell Os and other software offline. For example on my e-commerce site I sell OS for $5 while base price of OS is $100. OS reports and Software company reports show that my revenue is 250k*$100= $25m/month while in fact it is 250k*$5=$1.25m.
update: looks like customers pay default price of the software ignoring e-commerce price of the product. And all this extra revenue goes off the record (I can see the difference only on my total income statement)

University research focus expenses do not add up to university expenses if university is closed.

Re: 5.4.17 Release Bugs
This one is kinda game-breaking. In my game I am trying to save a city from bancrupcy caused by stupid AI. when it was time to repay bond principal amount, I had to repay it three times before it finally disappeared from bonds page.
Save game is sent in PM.
update: to pass this bug I had to declare bancrupcy, give the city back to AI mayor and then after several days AI accumulated loss equal to 5 times principal amount of this bond and declared bancrupcy again. As a result all bonds in all cities were erased.
Save game is sent in PM.

Re: 5.4.17 Release Bugs
Could you please provide a save game with such a private company for our testing?1. Cannot buy private company if it has more than one owner (for example after a friendly merge)
This bug will be fixed in the next patch v5.4.19.2. Stock returns page does not calculate purchase price if stocks are bought from AI player (not from public shareholder)
This will be addressed in the next post-release beta patch v5.6.00.Addition. Very old bug. Tax returns.

Patch v5.4.19 has been released. You may download it from: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4887

It is a game rule that only private companies wholly owned by independent investors can be acquired by the player.1. Cannot buy private company if it has more than one owner (for example after a friendly merge)

Does it mean that the whole tax return mechanics will be fixed? I found the same problem with training expenses.David wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 7:50 pmThis will be addressed in the next post-release beta patch v5.6.00.Addition. Very old bug. Tax returns.
