What is your opinion about adding the ability to transfer a bank?

Please add the ability to transfer a bank, including its bank HQ and all its branches. I understand that it will not be possible to transfer individual bank branches.

Poll: Add the ability to transfer a bank group, including its bank HQ and all its branches.

Post by David »

Note that it is not possible to transfer just a single bank branch. The reason: when a customer deposits the money in bank A, it is inconceivable that bank A would have the rights to transfer customers' money to bank B without the customers' approval.

If there are enough positive votes on this poll, subsequently we will consider adding the ability to transfer insurance companies.

Just an idea, when building Bank HQ, you have to hire CEO, and even bank is owned by your corp. it can be treated like subsidary internaly by the game. May be that will make it easyer for developers too to use existing subsidary mechanics and functionality to add and expand features for the banks

Agree with above post

Would be great to add other products that contribute to bank profitability i.e. insurance sales, asset management sales, credit card etc.

I Disagree with the following "Note that it is not possible to transfer just a single bank branch. The reason: when a customer deposits the money in bank A, it is inconceivable that bank A would have the rights to transfer customers' money to bank B without the customers' approval."

Financial Service companies sell customers accounts all the time banks sell branches and their customers deposits for a small premium ~3%-5% and brokers sell their customers accounts. These happen in individual or group branch deals and in large mergers or acquisitions. People have the ability to move their account/deposits anytime they want if they don't like the new bank or financial firm.

Personal Experience: A bank that I used to have a brokerage account with sold their brokerage business to another company I had the option of them automatically moving my money to the new company, cash out or transfer my account.

Hi, David. I am in favor of the option of "whole package transfer of banking (insurance) business". This is good news for players who do well in the game (such as manufacturing tycoons), but have poor banking (insurance) operations. Otherwise, the manufacturing business will be profitable, while the banking (insurance) business will suffer a huge loss, which will cause the company's overall income statement to be very ugly.

How about implementation in game? whatever reasons you have it still might not be possible from programmers point of view to implement it or it might be just too complicated ... In real life police can fine you for volating driving rules, and goverment get money from that, but i dont think its possible to implement it in this game without huge changes.
