This could just be me, but it appears like the AI never seems to produce the product categories they have a specialty in. I end up with a lot of conglomerate style competitors, for example, if an AI has "Home Appliance" as a specialty, it will focus on producing food, computers, and software, basically everything but home appliances. Not saying that being well-diversified isn't a bad thing, but, shouldn't the AI strive to the leader in the product class is has a specialty in? Shouldn't the product specialty give you a tech boost at game start?
I bring this up because the overall economies seem like they end up being overly focused on only a handful of product/class areas. Leaving a lot of room for player company growth, but not a lot of room for competition except with behemoth conglomerates. IMHO it is ok to have companies that focus on only one product class (or a small sector range of classes).
Maybe there is a way to include this as an added feature in the game set-up or maybe I need to set my games up differently?
I figured Banking DLC was the right place for this since we are actively beta-testing and if this isn't too big of a deal could be easily fixed. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this.

Noticed the same on 5 different tests with Insurance Companies where competing AIs were specialized in other product classes.

Yeah, I've seen that with all sorts of "XX" focused AI they will build out broadly, but never seem to build out what their actual specialty is. So, as an extreme example, you get the AI with a tobacco specialty who will go all-in on the insurance, and telecom, and open a 150 discount retail stores selling fruit and cosmetics, but won't research, or manufacture, or retail tobacco products.
