Capitalism Lab Release version 6.4.17 full version installer

Capitalism Lab Release version 6.4.17 full version installer has been released.

To install it, download it from https://caplab.b-cdn.net/Capitalism_Lab_Installer.exe and run the installer.

Please note that save games older than v6.4.00 are not compatible with this new version.

Version 6.4.15

Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that prevented the player from setting up a Private Challenge Game with DLCs enabled.

Version 6.4.06

Improvements
1) Add messages when AI subsidiaries do not expand into the banking and insurance sectors due to insufficient cash.

2) On a retail store with multiple floors, the icon of the currently selected floor is highlighted.

3) The Manufacturer's Guide now displays “Locked Until: <year>” if a product or a technology is locked and cannot be researched and invented until a specific year.

4) Once a Layout Plan has been selected, use it to focus the supplier list on the choice shown in the plan's
"purchase" square. For example, for sofa, one of the plan's "purchase" squares shows "leather" The suggestion is
to automatically bring the supplier list to leather suppliers. For "timber", the list would automatically start
at timber suppliers as opposed to the current situation where the supplier list always starts at the alphabetic beginning of
the suppliers list and you must scroll down to timber to make your choice. This could save a great deal of time
when choosing suppliers in a game with hundreds of factories.

5) For increase and decrease buttons: hold SHIFT key while clicking for 10X speed. Hold CTRL key while clicking for 100X speed.

Bug Fixes
Fixed an AI bug with factories producing OS.

Fixed a bug with translated corporate names when renaming a subsidiary.


Version 6.4.05
Fixed the pdr_bac2 error when accessing the e-Commerce product report.

Version 6.4.04

Improvement:
Added an option for displaying Owned Global Stocks on the corporate detail report’s Owned Securities page.

Version 6.4.03

Improvements:
For insurance companies, changed the AI behavior of insurance focused AI corporations so that the AI (if the AI can decide the dividend payout on its own) will pay the dividend based on the past 3 years' average profit.

Version 6.4.02

Improvements:
1) The firm description will be displayed when you hover the mouse over a building with a defined firm description.

2) On the window that shows clients purchasing from a factory, a warehouse or a farm, it now shows retail clients’ selling prices and the markup percentages. It is a convenient way to find out how much each of the retailers is stilling your product for.

3) It is now possible do mass transfers of firms from your own corporation to your subsidiary.

Fixed the following bugs reported by a user:
1) There is a bug in which when you a company buys stock from the global stock market, and it merges with another one, those stocks are lost, but it's not like they were sold and you can find the cash, it's like they were never there.

2) There is another bug in which if I deposited cash in a bank and the bank becomes bankrupt, on the balance sheets it keeps saying I have cash deposited, which I obviously cannot withdraw.

New Features

1) Price Synchronization
A new “Price Synchronization” option has been added to the Option Menu (shortcut key: ‘O’) to help you reduce micromanagement. With it, you only have to adjust the price once and see the new price automatically applied to all firms selling the same product.

It can be enabled for all firms or retail stores only. The details are as follows:

Price Synchronization Enabled for Retail Stores Only
When you set a new price, the new price will be applied to all of your Retail Stores selling the same product in the same city.

Price Synchronization Enabled for All Firms
When you set a new price, the new price will be applied to all of your firms of the same type selling the same product in the same city.

2) Factory Capacity Modifier
You can now increase the production capacity of all factories with a new script command "Factory Capacity Modifier".

If you oftentimes find the production capacity of factories too low and have to set up multiple factories to produce the same product, this new script command will be useful to you.

The new script command can be added under [SPECIAL RULES] section of a script file.

Factory Capacity Modifier=<50 to 500>
It modifies the capacity of all factories. The default value is 100. Assigning a value higher than 100 will increase the capacities of all factories. The setup and operating costs of factories will also increase accordingly.

3) Privatization for Subsidiary DLC
The Subsidiary DLC provides you with the option to launch an IPO (Initial Public Offering) for your subsidiary company. Now with this new feature, you could do it the other way round by turning a public company into a private subsidiary company.

To do so, you must first acquire 100% shares of the target company from the Stock Market. Then go to the Financial Actions screen (hotkey: F11) and select the target company. The option Privatization will be available from the list of financial actions. Now click the [Privatize This Company] button to execute it.

AI Improvement
When building factories, the AI now does a better job choosing the right factory sizes. For example, for semi products with relatively low demand, the AI will build a small factory; for consumer products with expectedly high demand, the AI will build a large factory.

Improvements
1) Open Build Menu at the same building category
Currently you press ‘B’ key to open the Build menu. A new shortcut key “Ctrl-Z” has been added, so that you can press it to open the same sub-menu on the Build interface as the last time. (the same firm type and the same company/subsidiary)

2) On Software Report, it displays the following:
The number of years since the release of the last version
(The demand for a software product soars during the release of a new version, then decreases over time as more users have already owned the new version. Thus it is important to regularly release new versions to generate new demand.)

3) The Dominance page on the Corporate Details screen now displays decimal places for market shares.

Interface Improvements
1) New icons for costs and prices on the firm detail window, and new icons for utilization and functional unit levels, replacing their text descriptions.

Minor Improvements
1) The number cars and pedestrians in a city with a very low population is now more realistic.

2) Added more context sensitive help for Management Policies screens.

New Features for Banking and Finance DLC
You can buy US Treasury Notes of 3, 5 and 10 years from the bond market.

While the supply of corporate and municipal bonds can be limited, the US Treasury Notes are always available in massive quantities, ensuring that you will always be able to purchase them when you want to.

Gameplay Balance Improvements for Banking and Finance DLC
Reduced the central bank benchmark interest rate at the beginning of the game to between 4% to 6%.
You may use the New Game Setting “Base Loan Interest Rate” to modify it if you prefer it to be higher or lower.

MOD Script Improvements
1) Improvements to the file Company_Details.TXT for Linking AI persons to specific companies:

2) Added a new script command “Focus = <focus type>” (it is optional)
<focus type> specifies the industry on which the company is focused. It can be one of the following:
All – Diversified
Retail – focused on Retail
Stock – focused on stock investment
Real Estate – focused on real estate
Tech – focused on technology research
Media – focused on the media sector
Software – focused on the software industry
Internet – focused on the Internet sector
Bank – focused on banking
Insurance – focused on insurance

I am getting:

Error in File : Itemres.cpp
Line : 1310

I am using CL 6.4.15 and RW 11.40.

I am not trying to do anything, when the error happens. But one of the AIs set up a Farm on FEB 8 and the game craches on FEB 9.
I suspect that it is this building that causes the error, but nowhere sure.

OK, I found out that my web host has disabled access to it, or rather have made a change that only allows access to commonly known file types.

i have found a weird glitch when it comes to research.

I have just invented several Beverage products, and now I want to set up a unit for improving the products in other R&D Centers.
The way I play is having R&D center focusing only on new products, and further research are moved to other R&D Centers

So I build the new R&D Centers, hired some new Beverage research units, and clicked "Start R&D".
But according to the list I already have a research in progress for all the newly invented products, even though I have given all the units that invented them a new product to invent, and some of the units are even dismissed because there were no available item for them to invent, and then hired a unit from another category.

So I use the filters under the map, to locate the R&D Centers that has research in these products.
E.g setting the filters to "Ny Firms" and "Product: Tea Bag" (the currently active filters). This gives a single firm. A click on an arrow to locate this firm, and now I am taken to an R&D Center that researches "Social Network UI".

So according to the filter and the list under Start R&D there is a research in progress, but when I go to Corporate Details -> Tech (Product) it tells me that the are no research in progress for Tea Bag, which is true.

This has happened before, and every time, according to the filters, it is a Tech Research unit that are now conducting the Product Research.
It only happens if I have had some research for the product, that it moves the reference to a Tech Reasearch Unit when cancelling the Product Research.

But luckily items in research are not removed from the list, the same way as with New Product R&D, so it is possible it actually start a research on a product that the list claims there are already research in progress for.

I am now using CL 6.4 16 and RW 11.40, but it has even happened when I played vanilla with Digital Age DLC.
