error creating text file

above error appears on the screen in connection with the game updating a manufacturing unit. By the way I checked and my hard disk has no errors on it. game version 6.6.09

Does the folder "C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab\PRODUCTS" exist in your harddisk? You could use File Explorer to see if it exists.

yes the products file exist

The error occurred when the game is unable to write the file to the destination folder. It is due to Windows not allowing it to do so.

To find out the reason why Windows does not allow the file to be written, please check if there are any files in the folder C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab\PRODUCTS\CPU



You may try the following solutions:


Solution 1) Turn off the Controlled Folder Access on Windows.

Change the setting from On to Off.


Solution 2) Run this program as an Administrator. To do so, right click on the Capitalism Lab program icon. Windows will display a popup window. From there, choose “Run as administrator”.

I was unable to access the controlled folder access. despite creating a new administrator account etc , and the article from microsoft did not help. however, i hope the game is doing the right thing now. when i run the game as admin then added the game to the exclusions list for the antivirus, the error message stopped appearing
