There are certain instances that I prefer to start a campaign with the stock market disabled just to see how well the AI can grow its balance sheet without relying on year-on-year movements in major holdings in other AI companies. In late games the majority of the growth typically comes from these holdings and not the core business operations.
And with that I noticed that by disabling the stock market it also leads to dividend functions being disabled in their entirety. A player can neither set a dividend ratio and subsequently receive dividend payouts nor can they request a special dividend under the financial actions menu. You can see how this is baffling to me because dividends and special dividends are not things that are exclusive to public companies.
So I was hoping you could look into a fix for the next post-release version.
