New thing:
[Historical Bilding] - a building that you can not build, but you start a game with some of these in the cities already. They don't need to be based on real life buildings or be useful for something at all. They can not be bought and sold, and can not be owned at all. Their only use will be - they'll make the local area very attractive for RE investment, as people will wanna live near them. So the rent can be even double the one in the best areas of the city. These buildings will give boost to apartment buildings located near them and they'll be more atractive, but the land will be more expensive. Some times you'll have to buy existing buildings, destroy them and build apartments for profit. Historical buildings will have area-of-effect around them and apartment buildings in it, will have a star-symbol in their menu, showing just that.
Additional - the Goverment may decide to destroy such building, but the player will get a msg - to invest in preservation, thus turning the building into "sponsored by.... " building, and the player will now spend money on it, in order to keep it (if he need that at all). After at least 50yrs of play, the goverment will start declaring existing buildings to be "historical" thus adding more of them in the game. This can be a random event in the game and can be switched on/off before the game started in the menu.
As for the design - they don't have to something specific or based on real buildings. It can be just 1 design at all, as long as is recognisable on the map. Also they can be limited to 4 plots at all times.

Re: Real Estate DLC features summary (2020 Update)
also building your own industrial estate ... founded on the map same way you found a new city, it creates your own private industrial estate that only you can build in.
perhaps allow each city to build an out of town retail park next to the city, anyone can build there, but only retail shops are allowed.
dedicated farming zones that have better yields for farming, and only allow farms... (i seem to recall original capitalism had rain/temp requirements for crops, so this would allow that to come back)
technology parks which give a boost to research/internet/software etc and dont allow other buildings
hopefully this would stop the AI spamming farms in the middle of cities and the like.

Re: Real Estate DLC features summary (2020 Update)
For the record, I love the idea of incorporating some kind of simulation of building firms, even if you cannot directly control them as an entity. Building firms and construction costs are such a huge part of managing a real estate company that it would be a shame if there wasn't some sort of simulation of dealing with it in this DLC

Re: Real Estate DLC features summary (2020 Update)
Morgate crisis, real estate bubble crisis... must have
The effect of this crisis must be like the economic recession in 2008
************************************************
morgate krizi, emlak balonu krizi... mutlaka olmalı
bu krizin etkisi 2008 de yaşanan ekonomik durgunluk gibi olmalı
