COO Improvements

Post by CromeNite »

Just some thoughts on the COO,

1.The COO logic should be improved and/or more guidelines for the COO should be added. (i.e Being able to select which products the COO should price aggressively). The COO shouldn't be a financial guru, but we should be able to have some faith in the the COO running factories and retail business (from what I've seen in the forums people are discouraged from using the COO because they make poor choices). Hiring a bad COO should be a possibility also, so the player still has to keep an eye on their COO and corporation.

2.A button to tell the COO to manage all of the retail and factories, instead of selecting each one individually. When I've created a successful business I like the COO to take over retail and production duties so I can focus on R&D and finding other avenues to increase profit.

3.The large amount of salary it cost to get a COO seems okay, there should be a cost for reducing the amount of micromanaging we have to do.

4.Thoughts and suggestions...Does anyone use the COO?

I used to use the COO all the time, but honestly, I'm so tired of hearing them moan and groan that they want a raise or they quit that it's almost to the point where it's just not worth bothering to keep them on, and once they've been on the job, Lord only knows what they did to the businesses that I set them in charge of so I've then got to try to remember which ones and go back through them and possibly adjust them to my liking all over again. So now only occasionally will I hire a COO but if I do, I'd surely like to be able to just set all businesses by type (factory, retail, farm etc) to have the COO take over that type of business so that like you, I could concentrate on other aspects like R&D or stock exchange etc.
