Hi all,
I'm about to start a new game, but wanted some tips on the best settings.
I've been particulary having problems with venture capitalists and bank loans. There never seems to be much venture capital around for an IPO, which are the best settings to give them some encouragment?
And even with 49 competitors and a moderate inclination to set up banks, only one or two ever get going.
Also, how does the Real World Mod change things? Is it worth getting the Digital Age DLC to give it a go?
Any other tips or suggestions would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanks!
I've seen the page on setting up VCs but don't quite get it - am I better to set their diversification low to increase the amount of cash available?

Yes, with this, they will have more money left after investing into companies.Andriko wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2024 3:06 pm I've seen the page on setting up VCs but don't quite get it - am I better to set their diversification low to increase the amount of cash available?
A more direct way to increase their capital amounts is to increase the "VC Capital Size" setting.

I am not sure how this works myself. I have noticed that VC persons have spare cash, but when you try to do things like running an IPO, there is no spare cash available. Apparently for IPOs you need 'Public Money' which is proportional to GDP.David wrote: Mon Jul 29, 2024 8:16 amYes, with this, they will have more money left after investing into companies.Andriko wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2024 3:06 pm I've seen the page on setting up VCs but don't quite get it - am I better to set their diversification low to increase the amount of cash available?

Is it just the case that when new AI companies are formed they take money from the VCs? Is that their only function?

spare cash for IPO / Issue new shares / take out Bonds is totally related to the public investors cash available
you can see this ammount of cash on top of the screen and it refreshes slowely on 1st of each month
means if some other companies IPO/issue bonds or shares for the max available cash you got to wait for another month for a few bucks .. kinda an neverending cycle. you best of to stay private company or IPO with zero cash available. zour advantage is that you own the company to 100% and live off the loans from banks they should be sufficent as the public money probably never ever satisfy you as the AIs are quite active nowdays and leach that pool dry permanently to open every sngle mine. atleast thats my experience in the short moment i play around with CapLab V 10. maybe you get a chance if you wait till every AI company got every mine ingame opened and if you have ressource premium activated you can then use the IPO to buy you the mines at 529987 trilliion percent increased price haha but only if the banking companies dont need fresh cash. i think they AIs are too active now or the money supply is too small to actively play with it.
those cash from the VC guys they usually just buy up company shares of public traded companies and take control off them so this money aint for ya as it aint angel capital.
