Capacity Utilization Rate is zero. Workers are idle

Post by bradclark1 »

I'm doing the manufacturing tutorial and I've done the layout for selling the bed and I'm ready to sell to the world but I'm getting the red triangle warning that 'Capacity Utilization Rate is zero. Workers are idle' and I'm not selling any beds. I chose a small factory at first and thought maybe the factory is to small and redid the tutorial with a medium factory but got the same result "Capacity Utilization Rate is zero. Workers are idle" warning. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Could you provide a save for this (maybe a screenshot)?

Three possible reasons:
- Is the game paused?
- Are you actively buying the raw materials (Timber)?
- Did you build a retail store and is that store selling beds?

You could build a retail store and have it buy beds from your factory and you will see the goods moving from your factory to your retail store, selling them to consumers and the factory's utilization rate will increase.
