I spend a lot of times on Capitalism Lab and sometimes I think it would be nice if we could save our custom presets of rules to play with and load them later without having to write a script !
Also, it would be nice if there were some rules that we could change when ingame. Currently I restarted a game because I realized I didn't activate the multiple floors warehouses, which kinda killed 2 hours of careful playing and growth ! Have the gamerules only being able to be changed once so the AI can't be set back by it and I don't think it would break too much balance, especially if you narrow them down to things such as cited. Or maybe am I just being too whiney ?

Well personally I consider a script the option to save settings, once you set it up, you can just copy it and make tweaked versions as and when you want.
I don't see the benefit of adding a second option to have settings saved, and since script option allows you to set things that the options normal game options dont, I still dont see it would be that much use.
I would recommend that you create a poll for your suggestion to gauge the community's interest in it. There would be a higher chance that the dev team will implement it if the interest level is high.

The problem with scripts, I think, is that you have to manually go and tamper with "code" instead of having just a button to click. I don't think that would be too hard to implement and would just render life easier ?
I like the first idea - saving the custom game rules to a custom script would I think be useful as there are many things that can inadvertently change the rules that are saved by default. Having your own saved script that remembers all the options and writes them down - it can even be used as a potential template for manual script adjustments.
The second idea - changing rules mid-game, I don't think that would be very fair from a gameplay perspective, especially towards the AI. Or maybe it could be inserted as a cheat, as in have a cheat code that allows options to be changed in game. But still I don't really think it should be allowed.
