the coupon rate i.e. 2.08% or whatever it is is not paid ... its rather paid on the current value of the bonds over years i got inflated bond returns ... i.e. 100.000.000 in bonds at 10% costs you 10mio a year interest in theory but ... if bond price raises to lets say 160$ per bond you ll have 16 million interest
you can see it on any bond i.e. 2.08% US treasury .... interest paid at $90.57 bond price is $1.88 per bond thats 1.88% not 2.08% on the other hand when the bond price raises to 120 you ll gain more interest must be wrong as in the bond market the interest shown is the other way around as it should be a higher ROI when you get the bond below face value. i ve gotten over years 16.8% on 140$ bonds in my insurance company thats 23.52% interest on the face value at which i bought them.

i guess the programmers didnt use the face value of 100$ per bond but the current bond value for calculating the interest paid/received
I've tested it but didn't encounter this problem.

I also forwarded this to the programmer and he confirmed that the game does use the face value of $100. But if inverse inflation is enabled, it will be based on the inflation-adjusted face value.

If the problem persists on your side, please send us your save game for testing.

with company test2 a subsidiary of company test1:
then I merge test2 into test1 and the money vanished

2nd
Bonds ... when you integrate another company into yours (merger) all bonds owned by the desolving company vanish into thin air if you forgot to sell them off before you merge. i always save the game before a merger for gamefaults like that. the bonds arent sold automaticcly as theres also no cash handed to you for it. after reloading game and selling the 600million of bonds ... and merging again i had 600 million more assets so bonds clearly govanish into thin air.
I confirm this bond issue happens, that s quite a big bug!

Banking:
Not sure if it's only in this version but I did not see it before, I think there is a potential issue with banks where sometimes banks get 0 loans issued (public or corp) but plenty deposit so lose money like crazy.
In some game my bank has same ratings as another in quality and brand but get 0 loans while other bank gets roughly as many as their deposits...
Confirm seeing the same issue running version 10.0.43. To increase the difficulty, I set competitors' initial capital to massive and added 30 VCs (turns out to be a bad idea). This may have caused the imbalance as almost none of the AI companies have any needs to borrow money. There are 3 AI banks at the start. After a couple of years, one starts to lose money, one barely breaks even, the third one is getting all the profits. In reality, having too much deposits shouldn't be an issue as the bank can always lower the deposit rate to 0% and invest all the extra cash into low risk assets (e.g. Treasury bills). But in the game, seems like the losing bank kept the deposit rate on par with its competitors til bankruptcy (not sure as I turned off the show trade secrets option).

Started a save running v10.0.43. Saw a bug where when a bank enters bankruptcy with negative shareholder's equity, the bond investors still recover all they money and the stock investors receives cash 15 times of the market price. Even the market price is absurdly high. The bank has sold almost all of its assets to stay in business, only have the HQ left and have more than $400mm debts. Shareholder equity is negative $150mm, operating loss is $300mm, while it is still having a market cap of more than $500mm.

See attachments for screenshots of the bank's balancesheet before bankruptcy, the news that the bondholders recovers all their money and stock holders receives 15 times of the market price.

Seems the issue doesn't affect company of other types. Tested by forcing one of the subsidaries to declare bankruptcy, the recovery value is about right. Not sure about other AI companies as in this save I have (mistakenly) set competitors' capital to massive so none have bankrupted yet.

The issue still persists after updating to v10.0.44.

hard to get a Bank down now since 10.0.43 only 1 of the initial starting banks collapsed but 2nd one made it to more then a billion equity inside the bank so even the massive 500m depsoits of companies he can pay that out with a smile. if i dont use some magic, i guess its no way to break that AI bank now.
at least it gives stability to the AI companies not like before when every other year 5-7 billion of assets got removed from AI companies due to banking crashes and yourself got pushed for free ...

i just stumbled across a sudden massive research breakthrough on my Subsidary 15 highend researches have been achieved instantly after about 1 year of operation without having any semi product knowledge and the only R&D center it got does complete different stuff as the ceo has 0 Tech Bonus to computer / communications nor other electronic products. that 1 R&D center that company got would need like 150 years to research that if not more but it raised the Company Networth due to tech knowloedge from 30 million to 200 million on top every available digital Tech is suddenly known by my subsidary too.
6 days before that happened an AI company invented the computer without having the required knowledge of semi products like cpu, electr products not even silicon seems the game wants to force me to rollout internet in 1906.
is this some form of game mechanic to make sure internet does exist?

another issue i am running in on farms .. when you extend farm to meat demand before all units are trained to lvl 9, should you reduce the farm extensions and u got some trained staff already i.e. 8 staff on sales unit, 4 trained ... farm reduced to 50% size ... 4 staff trained, 0 to train... now that level 2 sales unit will stay for life on level 2 no matter how much you spend on training

savegame (Leather farm stuck at lvl 6 sales and milk farm stuck at lvl 2 sales since about 2 years) save is 1 day after the sudden massive tech gain
those farms had been expanded to 400% for a while and downsized after the AIs got their initial factory stock and opened their own farms. this farm expansions help to stop littering the city with farms that nobody uses. not able to attach the mod file here its 57mb

I let your savegame run for a few days, then the parent company had cash and I was able to transfer money to its bank.

We will investigate the problem.

Could you please provide us with your save game file just before this company goes bankrupt so that we can try to track down the problem?

You can find save game files of Capitalism Lab from the C:\Users\<your user name>\Documents\My Games\Capitalism Lab\SAVE

You may provide us with your save game file by posting it here on the forum as a ZIP file attachment or emailing the save game file to us at info@enlight.com.

If your save game file is too large for attachment, you may check out this post about how to send us large files: https://www.enlight.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2473
