I have been playing the game for a long time. and it seems successful in simulating all the dynamics in real life. but I could not see the dropshipping mechanics. nowadays dropshipping is something that is done a lot over the internet. and there are big companies related to it. in short, I can summarize it as stockless trading. how would it be if there was such a dropshipping mechanic in the game? if we try to find the products from different suppliers and then try to put them on the market without stock through the website. of course there will be different dropshipping companies that we compete with etc..
in short, I look forward to all your positive and negative opinions.

Re: My suggestions Dropshipping
drop shipping is nothing else then being a reseller just with a trillion competitors and a like 1% profit margin after all others leeched off the markup with amazon probably the biggest leecher with 25% if you also use their distribution centers so by a 35% markup which is extremely high on common products every idiot is selling you make 1 cent on the dollar unless you are also forced to amazon trucking then you loose money on 35% markup. its a stupid model.
i use something similar (have a warehouse operator with own trucking and packaging in europe but i send my own products via container over the ocean and he picks it up at the seaport stores it and ships the stuff to european customers as orders arrive. but i never called it dropshipping as i just outsourced the whole warehousing and shipping process so i dont have to deal with employees offices and all that crap in europe and its way cheaper then amazon.
but ok thats getting kinda off-topic ....
in my opinion its nothing else then selling stuff like we already do ingame just selling without profit so you wont stand a chance against the AI and the goal here is to to build up your own raws / semi / final product line anyway and for anything else you already got the import/export companies which are kinda like this "dropshipping" (stupid new word for reselling some product) i think from the product range its already way overloaded especially with those insanely big mods and your additional e-commerce / export company sales are also there, if you want to resell ... plenty options just sell the AI company products in your store or sell it with export companies for a few pennies but there you got to re-brand final products or you get trouble with price agreement (profit margin would be really low on that its already like your dropshipping).

Re: My suggestions Dropshipping
Generally speaking Capitalism Lab tends to simulate business from the perspective of corporations or other relatively large businesses. In general Drop shipping seems like a very low margin, small scale business that doesn't really make most people very much money at all. So for this reason I am not really sure what the value of introducing it to Capitalism Lab would be from a gameplay perspective.
