Hello I am new to the game and started the basic Software Scenario (1) on the easiest difficulty.
In addition I'm following the guides to create a software product and manufacture it:
https://www.capitalismlab.com/digital-a ... e-company/
https://www.capitalismlab.com/digital-a ... -products/
I am able to create the basic software HQ and the factory, but there are no sales. In addition my tech is forever behind the competitors with no obvious way to catch up.
Here is my HQ:
And the factory:
My questions are:
1. How can I get my tech score above the competitors faster? I don't see a way to link more than 2 tech programming units
2. How come my factor never sells anything regardless of price I set?
Thanks.

Re: Need help with the basic software scenario
You can link all 9 units if you want, the fastest way to get ahead would be 4 software buildings (if you can support the cost), all 9 units in 1 building for each of the 3 techs required.
have you built shops to sell the product ? or ecommerce ?

Thank you for the reply! I will try that.
No I did not create a store or ecommerce. I was hoping the existing stores would at least sell some of it, but even at a very low price they won't.
I wanted to focus on creating software not creating stores to sell to retail haha. Ideally B2B but I don't think the game can do that.

Okay so I tried the 9-way research and that did help a lot, but somehow my tech and quality still lag behind the competition even when it's the very first thing I do in the game.
Am I missing something else? Is it possible to research something in parallel to accelerate it or something? I just don't get how they are beating me on tech and quality when I have the full tech company researching it.

Keep the training at the maximum level and you may need to wait years before you can technologically jump ahead, I find that when I do 2 year intervals for my tech I eventually get ahead of the competition within a decade. Once your R&D centres are fully trained up you may even consider extending the time for breakthroughs to 3 or 5 years.automaton wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 7:57 pm Okay so I tried the 9-way research and that did help a lot, but somehow my tech and quality still lag behind the competition even when it's the very first thing I do in the game.

As for sales - yeah don't bother with the other players, they may or may not choose to sell your stuff. Sell them yourself, it is the most reliable way to do it.
