Script to set max firm that can be build in one city

Post by XrstN1 »

Script to set MAX AI FIRMS to build. For example to build not more than 10 Retails and 10 Service firms.
Script to limit the firms that can build in one city.

This might be useful for some mods as a way to limit the number of overall firms so that the players don't just fill up the entire map with lots and lots of firms.

personally i got no issue with AIs dropping endless firms and i rather buy up the firms and fight them then cripple their ability to expand, but sure there been mods out where the AI gone nuts, and if players want to limit the firms in each city, a script line for this could be useful

Will this only limit the player or the AI also? If both, let's say that the limit is 10 retail stores and the player moves quickly to build all of them, then the AI will be left with no quota to build more stores and the player will have an unfair advantage.

I suspect that it would be most fair to make it a limit per player. Like 10 retail stores per company.

I mean 10 retail stores per corporation. Lets say you start the game with another 2 competitors... That means in this particular city only 30 retails can be build. 10 yours and 20 competitors.

Also could be added script for service firms as well... Same princip

In that case you rly need to be very cautious what 10 retails you can build.

Its for MODDING ROLEPLAY purpose

This is a good idea. I will forward your suggestion to the dev team.
