Game Crashing

Post by iamihop »

Hi, I have now gotten this error twice:

Error on File: .\ILIB\DYNAPP.CPP
Line 635

It occurred when clicking "View Clients" in (different) factories on both occasions. However, most of the time when I click "View Clients," it works normally.
I'm running this on a brand new (3 weeks old) computer running Windows 7 x64 bit.

Since it completely crashes the game, I'm starting to wish there was an autosave option. Or is there already?

PS. I'm absolutely loving this expansion. More more more!

EDIT: I just went to start the game again, and was prompted to update to 1.989. I don't know why I wasn't prompted to do so before (it didn't just come out, did it?), but I assume this means I was running 1.988, in case that is important to know.

1.989 didn't just come out, I think it was released just after last weekend. It was supposed to fix the DYNARR bug that a few users reported was crashing their game. I'm guessing 1.989 has been deemed stable that's why you were prompted with an auto-update.

Did you actually update to 1.989? If you haven't you should because it will fix the bug.

There is an autosave option. If you hit the 'O' key when you have loaded up a game it will display a menu with options. At the bottom right of that menu you can set the autosave setting.

Hadn't had a single crash from 1.989, you should update

I did update, and while it wasn't a consistent problem, I haven't had any trouble in the few hours I've played since. Thanks!

Are you playing on an old savegame before 1.987 - because they are not compatible.

Uhm, the game won't even load incompatible savegames. And he also wrote the problem was fixed after updating.
