Once again, I would like to share my script file for a Battle of Two Corporations scenario with the Subsidiary DLC, Digital Age DLC and Service Industry DLC.

• We are facing a single, very strong AI-controlled corporation and it is the only competitor in the game.
• The AI has an advanced start. By the time we join the competition, it has already spent a full year building up its business operations.
• The scenario starts with only one of four cities unlocked. The remaining three cities can only be accessed by reaching specific subgoals.
• The product range is limited. Only six product classes are available: Coffee, Computer, Furniture, Jewelry, Livestock, and Software. All other product classes are disabled, which intensifies competition.
• The game speed is locked to 3. That means no taking time to carefully plan supply chains, production layouts, or reviewing manufacturer guides. Everything needs to be done in a short time, while the AI continues to expand.
• The scenarios allows for different strategies to succeed in the game.

Want to make things even harder? You can adjust this advanced start to two or three years or even more (script file line 119). The longer the AI runs ahead, the more ground you will need to make up and the tougher the challenge becomes.

This was an interesting scenario. The constant speed was certainly a new thing I had to get used to. Not to mention disabling many of the product categories, which certainly made it tricky to come up with a strategy.

I have seen you video and I am impressed at how quickly you were able to get the revenue requirements for all of the objectives. My first try took me much longer and I kind of cheated to get past the second objective (I bought the rival company and merged it to get the revenue requirement). But I got it in the end.

Some things I noticed:

- The penalties for failing the objectives don't really make sense. If you lose then you don't unlock that city and you get the COO to resign and lose experience. But after that there are no more objectives so it kinda seems pointless. It might be better to just put the penalty as 'Lose the Game' instead. Or maybe unlock the city, apply the other penalties and then continue with the next objective anyway.

- Something I only noticed after watching your video - I was also playing with the Finance and CES DLCs and didn't realise that I should have switched those both off (interestingly Bank and Insurance firms don't count as Revenue or Profit for the objective). I have put a suggestion forward with the game devs to set it so that DLCs can be excluded from a game.

- On my second run I played without the CES and Banking DLC and I found it easier (but still challenging) to get the revenue objective. I think this is due to the scaling effects of CES. Something to keep in mind for anyone playing with this script. CES just makes everything harder.

- My starting strategy was different to the one in video. I noticed that you mainly started with the jewelry industry and then expanded into software and the internet. My strategy involved starting with the internet. It appears that the population already had sufficient internet access (provided that I added at least one telecom company) to make it work. It also made me a lot of money that I could then leverage into everything else.

- Apartments/Commercial buildings are surprisingly huge money makers, especially if your rival does not expand into those areas. Lots of pent-up demand in those four cities.

- The 3rd objective - have enough employees and revenue seems a bit odd to me as normally the employee goal is easy to fulfil. I think the challenge could be improved by changing this to something else such as dominate the Furniture/Computer industry.

Was an interesting video yes, id agree have X employees is an odd goal, capitalistic companies focus on having as few employees as possible, its also probably a goal that doesn't really take any planning, pretty much everything you build has employees so your likely to hit it.
