I have few suggestions... I dont know if its already suggested but anyway:

1. Reputation system (for our character), The Reputation System measures how the public, investors, media, and government view you and your companies.
It reflects your business ethics, lifestyle, philanthropy, environmental impact, and social influence. Your overall Reputation Score (or Public Image Index) could range from −100 (Infamous Tycoon) to +100 (Beloved Visionary), with several subcategories influencing it. High reputation → higher brand loyalty, premium pricing accepted, faster market share growth. Low reputation → boycotts, lower demand, negative press events. High reputation → easier access to capital, better credit, investor confidence, higher stock valuations. Low reputation → stock sell-offs, higher loan interest, risk of activist investors or hostile takeovers. A strong reputation can unlock partnerships with elite investors or governments (space programs, international trade rights, licenses).

2. Government Licenses & Reputation System Integration. Your reputation (especially with the government and public) affects your ability to obtain or keep government licenses. Licenses are permits or privileges that allow your companies to operate in regulated or strategic sectors, such as: Energy, Media & Communications, Banking & Finance ETC...

3. Patent Mechanics (We already have R&D, but), Patents are created via R&D divisions or corporate labs, Each completed research project has a chance to produce a patentable innovation (shown as a new IP asset), Prestige & Reputation - Boosts Innovation reputation and investor confidence. Patents can also be bought, licensed or rented. Royalty Income - Other firms pay license fees to use your tech. Government Relations - Patents in national-interest sectors (energy, health, defense) improve standing with regulators. Philanthropic Leverage - Donating or open-sourcing a patent boosts reputation massively (like giving away let say insulin or pills tech). Patent Expiry and Renewal - Patents last 10–20 years (configurable by scenario), Renewal costs increase over time.

4. Luxury Assets & Lifestyle: Purchase mega-assets: private islands, sports teams, art collections, space ventures, Host elite events (charity galas, tech expos, luxury races). Fund personal side projects: art museums, space startups, AI labs, political campaigns.

5. Allow ultra-late-game billionaire players to attempt large-scale economic destabilization (regional or global) by using concentrated financial, industrial, media, or political levers — but make it costly, traceable, and strategically deep, creating emergent crises that the player, rivals, governments, and AI institutions must respond to. Adding the ability for a billionaire player to crash the whole economy (or trigger region-wide systemic crises)

1) Sounds like an interesting idea. You can already establish a relationship with individuals in the game but it might be worthwhile if your character as a whole already has a reputation that applies across all individuals you hire (for example if you hire someone and have a bad relationship, that could create a smaller negative effect for everyone else you hire in the future).

Other ways to effect reputation:
A) Company brand, if your company has an established brand over a long period (especially Brand Loyalty) then this could increase your overall reputation.
B) High average product quality and R&D quality - people like working for innovative corporations.
C) Philanthropy - spending a greater amount on philanthropic causes might also improve your characters reputation.

2) Not really keen on this idea or at least it might be better to save this for another DLC.

3) I think of lot of this is already reasonably covered by R&D - but still it might be interesting to be able to rent out rather than sell R&D to another company. They can get the latest technology and produce it for you (maybe as a portion of the revenue) but if the relationship goes bad then you can stop renting it out to them after the contract expires.

4) Already discussed in some of the other topics. I think at the moment the DLC is focussing on art though.

5) Don't really like this concept, I don't think that introducing these kinds of destructive mechanics would make for all that fun of a game oriented around business.

This is an interesting idea.
High reputation → higher brand loyalty, premium pricing accepted, faster market share growth.
The benefits of premium pricing accepted and faster market share growth seem to result from higher brand loyalty. So high reputation actually only impacts the brand loyalty and only when Corporate Brand Strategy is in use.
High reputation → easier access to capital, better credit, investor confidence, higher stock valuations. Low reputation → stock sell-offs, higher loan interest, risk of activist investors or hostile takeovers.
Does it really play out this way in the real world? Would like to see more discussions on this.
A strong reputation can unlock partnerships with elite investors or governments (space programs, international trade rights, licenses).
The game actually doesn't have space programs or international trade rights.

Overall, I am not sure if it is worth implementing the reputation system if its only benefit is to increase brand loyalty under the Corporate Brand Strategy.

This is also an interesting idea.

For banking and insurance companies, licensing tends to depend more on meeting capital requirements than on reputation.

Energy is definitely a regulated sector but the game doesn't simulate it yet. But not sure if reputation is a factor in obtaining a license.

3. Patent Mechanics (We already have R&D, but), Patents are created via R&D divisions or corporate labs, Each completed research project has a chance to produce a patentable innovation (shown as a new IP asset)
Also an interesting idea.

What kind of patentable innovations? Would you provide some examples?

4. Luxury Assets & Lifestyle: Purchase mega-assets: private islands, sports teams, art collections, space ventures, Host elite events (charity galas, tech expos, luxury races). Fund personal side projects: art museums, space startups, AI labs, political campaigns.
Alongside the art system, the dev team has been working on integrating luxury assets like cars, yachts, and private jets. However, their gameplay mechanics are currently much simpler compared to the art module, which features a detailed simulation of pricing dynamics. Do you have any suggestions for how these luxury items could be more meaningfully connected to other aspects of the game beyond mere ownership?
Could you provide an example how about how this would work?

■ When the first company goes bankrupt
If a feature is added where you can start a new company after your first one goes bankrupt, I would definitely buy it. And if a feature allowing players to own multiple companies is added, it would make for a truly wonderful DLC.
Do you have any suggestions for the name of the DLC if this feature is also added?
[/quote]

Since the game allow the create a new company after first one goes bankrupt, it should be able to act as an employee (CEO) employ in other company and can make negotiate salary with director of company. So that can earn money to purchase company share / create a new company by using own money. I think it could call it as employment system.

excellent idea

That's really interesting in real life, but would it make any difference in the game?

I'm also looking forward to this "DLC". From what I understand, it's a DLC just for collecting art and/or making the character spend money, without any original ideas beyond that.

David wrote: Thu Sep 04, 2025 1:16 pm The first new feature they have been working on is art auction and collection. Firms for this new feature include auction house, art galleries and art museums.
Instead of just having a window that allows the character to spend money, I think it would be interesting if museum donations to the city could include auctions and a list of people who own art, to integrate it more, you know?

Stylesjl wrote: Fri Sep 05, 2025 10:08 pm - Horse, Yacht or Automobile races perhaps? Could make a random minigame out of it.
- I would also suggest creating some sort of mechanism to give your in-game character some 'Personhood'. Currently you can just ignore your person and nothing will happen even if they have no money and no home.
These ideas are great! I really think that just having a field to spend money on is pointless. If it involves more work in this eventual "minigame" or giving it some personality, where we can understand the benefits of spending money, then thank you.

cantdownloadit wrote: Fri Sep 12, 2025 4:04 pm like being able to start a new company if your first one goes bust.
I also think the character's life being intrinsically tied to the first company is very bad; if it goes bankrupt, the game ends. However, I see it like the life of "a football manager," where he could manage another team normally. The character could buy another company, give life to the character, and not just encourage him to spend money. That sounds so ignoble.

In that sense, only the company itself can create subsidiaries. It could allow the player to "create a company" using their own money and designating an initial amount, as well as making routine contributions to it. This way, they would receive dividends from one company and invest in another. Excellent.

And increase micromanagement? lol

That idea was rather specific and visionary, but what benefit would it actually bring?

All your suggestions were very good! I think this DLC has an obligation to be good and significantly impact the game, since they're messing with something that was always useless in the game and could simply be forgotten.

I think your idea is absurd; the game is precisely the opposite of that—to create an entrepreneur, not an employee.

Not sure if it was already mentioned elsewhere, but how about adding Casino's to the game for this DLC. Billionaires love to Gamble... Also horseracing as well.
