Hello,
I have been playing CapLab since 1995.
I have now bought the current complete package.
I am now training an AI on CapLab.
For analysis and consulting. As a private experiment.
I am also teaching the AI my understanding of economics.
All of that is working quite well.
However, there are also problems.
As far as possible, I have to have everything read in individually with CSV.
If I transfer all the data of the 53 competitors via CSV, I already get almost 200 CSVs.
If I want to provide the market data, there are another 100+ screenshots...
And that basically every six months.
Now to my question. Would it be possible to add a CSV that captures all data completely? Prices, products, balance sheets and more?
Otherwise I will unfortunately have to stop my AI experiment because it is too time-consuming to collect all the data for the AI.
Best regards from Germany

Re: CapLab & KI
Hellow, Interesting study, I'm curious about the results. I'd appreciate it if you could share them.

Hi,
I appreciate your interest. Unfortunately, though, I have to more or less discontinue the "experiment."
The reason is the increasing volume of data I need to feed into the AI. I’m playing at 278% settings, with 900 products, 53 corporations, etc.
Some things are possible with the current options:
*.CSV files, screenshots, and—albeit poorly—videos.
I was once crazy enough to transmit a complete market overview every six months.
All sorts of *.CSV files and easily around 150 screenshots. And the volume just keeps growing.
A single *.CSV file containing products, prices, and so on... that would be great.
An all-encompassing *.CSV would be even better. But that’s unlikely to happen.
I can tinker around with the AI a bit now... but there isn't enough data flow for it to serve as a corporate aid—acting as analyst, consultant, and apprentice.
I’ve been training the AI for a few weeks, but I’ve only reached January 1, 1994, and it’s already too much work.
A shame.
Best regards, CMcF

Re: CapLab & KI
Hello again,
People were asking about the preliminary results.
I’m using the only AI available for free without major restrictions. The AI is nice and very informative, but unfortunately also somewhat limited—a bit slow on the uptake. Eventually, we managed to set up a "secure folder" that could serve as a memory bank. After all, everything takes place within a single chat session, which is quite unstable and limited. So, I have to teach it what’s important and what isn’t—avoiding unnecessary duplicates, and so on. And that takes time. The AI has other annoying habits, too; you really need patience and nerves of steel. I’ve also taught the AI all the CapLab rules and my own approach to economics.
It’s been quite funny at times, but also pretty astonishing.
We have the smallest company, yet we are by far the most profitable.
Stock market: Our share price is 66.07; the next best is 26.12.
But the data, data, data...
Do you have any tips?

Re: CapLab & KI
These tools require a specific version of Capitalism Lab, which is v11.1.02. But it is an old version and no longer available for download.arxbombus wrote: Mon Oct 05, 2026 9:44 am I bet you haven't actually done a close google search:

You could try download full installer v11.1.03 from https://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewt ... 4&start=70
Then apply the patch v11.1.02 from https://caplab.becdn.net/CR11102-11045.zip
Re: CapLab & KI
Hello,
I appreciate the interest in my topic. Thanks also for the help offered and the links.
However, I wouldn't be able to use them anyway, as there is no description of their function or usage—
at least, I couldn't find anything. The fact that the links are also outdated
pretty much rules out using them. Thanks anyway. What would really help me is simply an expansion of the CSV data to include current market prices, manufacturers, etc. And as long as CapLab doesn't offer that, the AI experiment is no longer feasible due to the rapidly increasing volume of data.
For example, I play with over 900 items. If I wanted to capture all that, I’d have to take
900 screenshots just for that alone. And do it as often as possible—every three to six months would be ideal.
Maybe it will happen someday. By the way, I’ve known CapLab for half my life. And I’m nearly 70
Best regards from Germany.

Hello,
Once again, I want to thank you for this kind support.
However, there is still another hurdle to overcome to reach the desired goal.
And that hurdle is me. I am neither a modder nor a programmer; I belong to the "user" species.
I can alter worlds, found empires, and fight dragons. Zombies... well, that's a bit hit-or-miss...
But something like this (hang on, let me check):
An MCP server that allows an AI to read the live status of a running *Capitalism Lab* game (version 11.1.2). ?????
And version 11.1.2, at that.
I really don't want to seem ungrateful, but this just isn't going to work out.
A user like me prefers something you can just click on, and—presto—it's done.
But don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.
By the way, since we're having such a nice chat...
I have a YouTube channel.
Or rather, I *had* a channel there, but it was stolen from me, and I have absolutely no access to it anymore.
But never mind that... if anyone wants to take a look... I'd still be happy about it... Spoiler alert: it's about submarines.
