That will always be an issue sooner or later, but of course we prefer later. You can mitigate it by playing with fewer competitors and fewer cities.

Maybe they want to encourage business consolidation. In 20 year most industries experience consolidation maybe the game is simulating that. Hmmm....

Try Stock market screen or any other report screens, the time goes a lot faster there. It looks like graphics is slowing down everything

I would really appreciate a tool that would each year take revenue and profit for all your business units and allow you to see the % increase / decrease like a spreadsheet but with the ability to zoom out by business type (retail stores) and zoom down all the way to an individual store (drugstoe01 for instance).Though heavily numbers focused I think players can benefit from such a tool (manually during this will take away from game play). This will allow a CEO to be able to look at their business by numbers and help them spot trends such as this new found tobacco simulation and identify were they could improve their operations.

Looking at pure numbers of a business is what CEOs of multibillion dollars businesses do IRL, also would further enhance the ability of the game to be used in academic environments.

I've decided the number of competitors is the biggest factor to game speed; number of cities doesn't have as much effect. Scrolling all the way to the left provides me with a mostly blank screen, and the Bank Loan screen seems to be the fastest report that I've noticed.
