make minerals as alternative investment
how about make gold and silver as alternative investment? to avoid player or AI monopoly those minerals, any company opens those mines cant buy directly as investment. have to go through some sort of body to control like bank. player must buy from bank to get those minerals.

Also - diamonds and other gemstones. Possibly pearls (they're not technicaly gemstones).
But i prefer for all of those (gold, silver, platinum, gemstone, pearls) to be treated like the mansions in the game. Just a free market for buying/selling them.
Of course - some may say that would be nice to use such items for manufactoring new products, but this is for different discussion - "a new set of products" one.
