i'm sure this is asked and answered, but I assume that the changes in a particular patch will not have effect in games that were saved before the patch was downloaded. Correct?

I have two problems with this:
1. I lost all my saved games after installing the patch.
2. I don't see what this does for me. I edited the name of a firm I created but I do not see where it shows up in any other screen other than when viewing the firm itself.

First I'd like to say that I personally always assume a new version will be incompatible with previous saves -- prepare for the worst; hope for the best. (In practice I simply choose whether to finish my current game before patching.)aarondmsu wrote:1. I lost all my saved games after installing the patch.
That said, I am still able to load games from several previous versions, all the way back to 2.2.00. So, I'm guessing you may be confusing the beta version with the release version. The post-release betas (v2.2.xx) will not load games from the release version (v2.0.xx). You can have both versions installed, so maybe you just have to start up the release version and your games will still be there.

E.R. was correct. I didn't realize my saved games from the release version wouldn't run on the beta version. I wasn't a fan of the game I had going anyway, so I'm just gonna start a new one. Thanks for the offer William.

Can you please tell me what it does for us? The only time I see the edited name come up is when I view the firm itself. It would be useful if it showed up when trying to link the firm as a supplier as well.clark17 wrote:Thanks, here is a great feature!
