Error creating Direct Draw front surface

After the new patch, I encountered a new error from time to time "Error creating Direct Draw front surface". This seems to happen when I open the game in window mode, and switch to other processes to do other works, like browsing web sites, and switch back to the game and the error screen waiting there. It seems to be triggered while the game is in the background.

Hmm... we actually didn't make any changes to the display code in the latest patch.

I saw that you are running the game in Windows 8. I would suggest that you set Win7 Compatibility for CapMain.EXE in the CapLab folder prior to running it, and see if the problem persists.

This error only pop-up twice so far, and not yet happened again, kinda weird. I'll try compatibility mode, or reinstall, see if it can get fixed.
