AOE or Radius of retail buildings suggestion

Post by mwyeoh »

One problem Ive always had with this game is being able to discern how much of the city my retail buildings cover.

It would be good to add some sort of indicator for when you are placing buildings. (That can also be accesesd later)
It doesnt need to be a hard, well defined radius where only those buildings in the circle are serviced. A better way of doing things would be a AOE which loses effectiveness over area/distance.
Hence, a retail shop would have a high level of effectiveness for those living within a certain radius. But the effectivess drops away either in stages or linearly as distance increases.

Perhaps this is already how it's done, but with no visual indication, I cant tell

In the new version, you will be able to see the Customer Traffic index of the area while you are selecting a location to build a retail store.
