Hi,
Yesterday I downloaded the experimental CapLab version, installed it alongside the 11.0.97 I had on my machine.
After trying it out for a few seconds, I decided to go back to the 11.0.97 one, but couldn't get my DLCs to be recognized, couldn't actually even start any missions or games and most buttons (tutorial, scenario, challenge game...) showed no reaction (custom game opened up the savegame-folder, with only 2 saves instead of the 5+ i had)
now I've uninstalled both versions, re-installed the 11.0.97 but the behaviour is still the same.
did I accidently mess up my account here and am now blacklisted or something by installing both at the same time (on the same machine)?

Re: game broken after trying out 12.0.3
Please be informed that when DLCs are not recognized, it could be due to connection problems with the game server.
Are you using any anti-virus software that runs in background? If so, there is a possibility that the firewall of such anti-virus software or Windows Defender may be blocking the game’s communication with the game server. You may check your anti-virus software’s user manual for how to add Capitalism Lab to one of its approved apps to avoid being blocked by the firewall.
For example, if you are using Avast, you can add Capitalism Lab’s EXE file “CapMain.exe” into Avast’s exception list (white list) to prevent it from blocking the game.
For instructions about how to whitelist a file in Windows Defender, please see:
https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-whitel ... -defender/
Please make sure that you add “CapMain.EXE” (the main program) instead of “CapStart.EXE” (the game launcher) to the exception list.

Re: game broken after trying out 12.0.3
thanks, but thats not it, I've set up my antivirus and the game already worked on this very system up until I installed (& uninstalled) 12.0.3.
I might have expressed myself badly as well.

all red square-buttons dont give any reaction at all, blue one opens up my saved games (well, some old ones at least) instead of what it says it does and only "back" (green) works as intended.
so it's not just the DLCs not being available (though that is a problem as well)
this is the game version I got from https://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10214 (it still installs 11.0.97 despite the threadtitle saying 11.0.98).
Please dont missunderstand, I'm really appreciating you responding so quickly and on a Sunday no less. Thank you for all your great work and effort.
edit: just to make really sure I turned off my antivirus completely and the behaviour didnt change at all, so it has something to do with either the account or the installer or an interaction between them and some leftover-settings from the previous installation (like in the registry or something)
edit2: not that it should matter (since it worked up until yesterday on this machine)
this is on a Dell Pro 14 laptop, running win11pro / Intel(R) Core(TM) 5 120U (1.40 GHz) / 16 GB RAM

Re: game broken after trying out 12.0.3
sorry for the doublepost:
I loaded one of the available (old) savefiles I got presented with in the "custom game" menu, this put me in a game where all DLCs (except service Oo) were disabled but when I exited that game everything was back to how it's supposed to be:
- all DLCs work
- all saves are back
- all menu options work
so whatever the issue was, loading one of the available saves fixed it (or you did somehow on the backend
)
edit: the game still seems to be somewhat defective, I now have to go this route everytime I boot it up, load an old save, exit it and only then can i access scenarios and dlc options
