At the moment, the CMO only increases the effectiveness of media, but does not ty to find better deals
Would you like the option below made available?
For the CMO, to automatically select the media firm with
1) The highest rating
2) The lowest cost
3) The best ratio (of cost vs rating)
4) The highest content quality (This curently cannot be viewwed when selecting your media firms- Perhaps it can be added?)

Have to ensure CMO and COO work peacefully together. COO should let CMO handle all advertising units.mwyeoh wrote:For the CMO, to automatically select the media firm with

What I meant by that one is (Best "Media firm" advertising cost X "Media firm" rating points) ratio -Not that of your own retail firmGod Is Broke wrote:Have to ensure CMO and COO work peacefully together. Re: Extra CMO Options
I agree cmo should take charge on all firm adv and set monthly adv expense and let cmo fully control running media firms if there is any own. I felt at this point cmo just take my money and do nothing.

Re: Extra CMO Options
Also how do CEO measue cmo effectness and success?
We can sure check brand rating, customer loyalt but there are just too many of them to keep track,
It would be nice just to look a simple overall number and compare them.

When you play the game, which of the above methods do you use the most often in selecting media firms?mwyeoh wrote:At the moment, the CMO only increases the effectiveness of media, but does not ty to find better deals

Re: Extra CMO Options
It really depends on the situation, but usually #3. I want something that is effective but at the same time not overpriced (Which the AI often does when they have alot of customers), so I look at both the rating and cost when deciding.David wrote: When you play the game, which of the above methods do you use the most often in selecting media firms?

Re: Extra CMO Options
Do you think other people will also always set the CMO preference to "The best ratio (of cost vs rating)" if this feature is available?mwyeoh wrote:It really depends on the situation, but usually #3. Any cases where any of the following preferences will be useful?
1) The highest rating
2) The lowest cost
4) The highest content quality
By the way, content quality will be reflected in rating over the long run. It is usually more expensive to select a media firm with high content quality and low rating, which will be the case for a new media firm investing heavily to boost its rating. In other words, there may not be much benefit for selecting a media firm with high content quality, compared to selecting a media firm with a high rating.

Re: Extra CMO Options
1) Highest rating- When money is no object and the player just wants the best no matter the cost (Good for corporate brand)David wrote:mwyeoh wrote:

2) Lowest cost- Near the beginning when any advertising is better than nothing and spending needs to be low (Eg- a small business advertising in a local paper rather than a national paper (Or a local/independant radio station))
3) After explaining this, I suggest that the ratings for a media firm can fluctuate more rigorously depending on investment and that it can fluctuate to higher levels (I dont think Ive seen any media firm surpass 40-42 including my own, despite max spending on content quality)

Re: Extra CMO Options
How about crate a setting to let cmo purchase its own ads from its own company.
For some reason my cmo love to buy other ads from other company regardless
Of cost, rating or even continet issue.
Thanks
