Interesting, I run them with the newest patch and it looks like a big chunk of your operation expense is due to community building donation. Perhaps the community donation mechanism still has some bugs?au8633 wrote:is there a issue with the players finances I find it just gets eaten up by I don't know what . Re: Capitalism Lab post-release beta v2.5.04 patch
It happens without the having community buildings
Re: Capitalism Lab post-release beta v2.5.04 patch
I take a closer look at the city, if community spending can keep as previous level (hundreds thousands instead of tens millions), the net profit would be very close to positive.
On top of that, your warehouse link has broken, so aluminum related production all ceased (cola, canned corn and soup), so a large chunk of income disappear. A lot of firms (retail stores, farms, R&D) had already been level 9, a lot of money wasted in training. You are also running a lost on gold ring, since your gold ring factory didn't have internal sale on, other AI had been snatch your gold ring to sell on the market with your lost (cost 1000+, sell at 500 to AI). At least 6 gold mines are idle , and cost a lot of over-head expense. Most of all, you're selling a lot of products way above 100 rating, a lot of profit can be made between. And spamming too many convenient stores cost a lot of unnecessary overhead expenses. Finally a lot of unnecessary advertising expenses (like your spent 3 millions a month to advertise gold ring, that's a lot)
Combined the above problems all together, I wonder how you even make a profit in previous months anyway.

Re: Capitalism Lab post-release beta v2.5.04 patch
I think I found a bug that I actually like, whenever my COO says he wants his resignation, I just ignore him and minimize the tab, wait like 30 seconds and the game resumes and he's still working for me receiving the same payment. In the case of the CMO, he tells me what he wants for a salary, I reject the raise and then he asks the same question the COO asks and I do the same process.
I've been like 10 years paying the same salary to them and I'm perfecly happy about it (and they too), could you make this salary thing a customizable option in the game like the rest? It would be like Chiefs salary: Very Low- Low- Moderate- High- Very High, and if not, please don't fix it.
Another thing, whenever I hire one of this guys, their job's titles are wrong in the news tab, the COO is called "Mayor Candidate" for example.
Yet another thing, in the release version, which I barely use, the AI corporations starts with 60-80 million shares and, as the post release version, they happen to inmediately sell almost all the shares to the public raising hundreads of millions in cash, the difference with the post release version is the number of shares, which in the post release version is "normal" but anyhow they either way manage to sell almost every share and raise like 100 million in cash, as much as I have so it doesn't bother me but it's weird since I can not do the same.
I attached the save files but had to split them in two different compressed folders because the post release version save file is bigger than 5 mb.
PS: Excuse my rusty english, it's not my native language.

You can modify executive salaries with a script.I think I found a bug that I actually like, whenever my COO says he wants his resignation, I just ignore him and minimize the tab, wait like 30 seconds and the game resumes and he's still working for me receiving the same payment. Will get this fixed.Another thing, whenever I hire one of this guys, their job's titles are wrong in the news tab, the COO is called "Mayor Candidate" for example.

Re: Capitalism Lab post-release beta v2.5.04 patch
After manually patch to 2.5.04, your save should be normal again. There's a glitch in auto-patch to wrong version (2.5.2). And I went on to fix some issues in you save, and double the annual profit beyond 300m. Honestly, there are still many things can be optimized, especially for overhead expenses. For just 1 city, most products don't require large factories to produce them, especially raw materials, they can even share production in one small factory.au8633 wrote:It happens without the having community buildings

Re: Capitalism Lab post-release beta v2.5.04 patch
After my company which is using unique brand strategy and has many products merged with a company using the same brand strategy, all my brand rating other than those of the merged company will be reset to zero. For example, after my mobile phone company merged with a desktop computer company, the brand rating of desktop remain at certain level, however, the brand rating of the mobile phone disappeared. I tried to merge another two companies which are using corporate and range brand strategy respectively, but the results were different: all brand rating remained. By the way, it happened with patch 2.5.03. I am not sure whether it is a bug or not.
