Business Journal (Video)

Post by therealevan »

First ever video for a business journal so it was a bit sloppy this time. I noticed after watching there are some inconsistencies in the numbers that were said, but most of the content is right on point. Only about 5% of this video was scripted, everything else I said wasn't entirely planned :P

Anyways here is the link to the video:

After I uploaded it, i noticed that the bottom line on the video cut off a lot of info such as what year it is and cash/operating profit, i'll fix that for next time.

And as mentioned, here is a look at the spreadsheet & graph to give you an idea of financials from when the game really took off for me:

I deducted R&D expenses from operating profit because I believe one time items such as purchasing technology should not be added to operating expenses.

Please post any comments/suggestions/tips here or on the video's page. Thanks.

First of all, good jobs :D You must take quite some effort to write down all the numbers to draw a chart manually :shock:

And from my streaming experience, I notice that since Capitalism's resolution isn't widescreen, so I had to fill one side of the screen with twitch chat and logo. Otherwise the recording will have black edges. Maybe you can come up with similar solution to fill in the blank.

Thanks Counting,

There must be some weird formating/resolution issues going on as to why that bottom part is black/missing...

FYI, the fullscreen mode 1920x1080 mode is widescreen. If you capture a screenshot from that mode and view it in an image viewer, you can verify its widescreen resolution.

My screen capture for xsplit was 1920x1080, in game res was also 1920x1080.

For streaming, since I don't have multi-screens so I'm forced to use window mode. If recorded with fullscreen, it should be able to get 1080p widescreen, but some recording software need some tweak to work out proper setting for edges though (cropping problem)

@Counting, I'll mess around with it on my next video, luckily its just a small portion of the screen (very minor).

@David, aw shucks. Thank you.
