When assigning your own character to run a subsidiary's factory it doesn't seem to upgrade the manufacturing with new tech automatically.
I play with the option set to automatically assign it.
Right when I switched the manager to the subsidiary CEO they upgraded the tech right away.
Parent CEO does not upgrade Subsidiary Factory Tech

Make sure that there is product demand. When tech is upgraded, it is applied to manufacturing units. If there is no demand through your sales and inventory units, the upgraded products will not be the ones being sold. You can clear your inventories of both sales and inventory units. I believe this should solve your problem.

Re: Parent CEO does not upgrade Subsidiary Factory Tech
I'll check it out further next time I play and throw up a saved game.
But the factories had demand because they were filling up a warehouse and consistently selling.
It was all the factories that my parent CEO was running.
I had the option to upgrade the tech manually, that worked fine when I pressed it.
And immediately when I switched the firm manager to the CEO of the subsidiary in question they upgraded the manufacturing units immediately.
If this is in fact a bug/glitch maybe the parent CEO is reading the parent company tech level instead of the subsidiary tech level.
I think there should be an option to automatically share technology to parent and/or sub, only as an option though.
