CTD When Researching

I started a Game in 1990, when I am trying to start a new R&D Project I get a CTD.

you using a mod are ya? that looks to me like a mess up in the product_type.dbf regarding the inputs on invention time.

I would suggest that you reinstall the game and see if that resolves the problem.

Sorry for the late reply, work gets in the way. This happens on a new game or save, but I have a 50% random disable set. When I try to research other techs, I get the same crash. It is persistent if I re-install, restart, or anything. I also find that it doesn't happen if I am researching techs that are normally disabled though (like Notebook Computer, etc) unless the product disable set is enabled.

This happens on 3.0.21 and 3.0.22. No Mods.

What did you mean by 'research other tech' ? Did you mean researching technology or product?

I started a game with 50% random products disabled as you described and I was able to research products without any crashes. Please see attached screens.

The 'duration' column on the screenshot you posted earlier contains all zeroes and they are abnormal. I think it is the reason of the crash.

Sorry for not being more clear/explicit. It happens when I would "R&D New Product". Same thing after a re-install.

The program installs to: "D:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Capitalism Lab Post-Release Beta\CapStart.exe".

I downloaded 3.0.19 and then applied the 3.0.21 patch by copy/paste then overwriting.

I am on a Windows 10 Enterprise x64.

If I research products that have a number other than 0 for the research it will work. It looks as if it is only for tech that are not normally disabled.

We have fixed a bug that reset the tech level to zero incorrectly in v3.0.21.

Please start a new game using v3.0.21 and see if the problem still persists.
