1. With the subsidiary DLC can you prevent the subsidiary company from changing products in a retail store?
For example if I open a Meats Supermarket to sell frozen products, can I prevent the CEO from changing items of a subsidiary company?
2. In a subsidiary company who runs the day-to-day operations firms? the COO or the CEO? If its the COO what does the CEO do?
3. When you (Human Player) changes something does that PREVENT (AI) from doing something different?
For example: If I setup a store to buy meats from my parent company, but the subsidiary also has a firm that sells meats locally and cheaper can I prevent the AI from changing it? What if I close down the farm that I linked its retail store to do I get notified of a broken link with the subsidiary company in addition to my own company?
4. Can you self-setup an unlimited number of subsidiary companies or is there a Cap (http://www.capitalismlab.com/set-up-a-n ... mpany.html)
5. Does Product Customization allow you to release have different models of a Product for example a Mobile Phone 6 and a Mobile Phone 6S?
A few questions

Re: A few questions
Um....I don't think this is a good implementation. As a CEO of a multi-billion/trillion corporation I should be able to provide "Direction" to my subsidiary and have a mechanism that allows them to execute on that direction (maintain supplier connections, control over pricing) and they should ADVISE me when an arise arises and ask how to proceed. When you get involved in the micro-management of a subsidiary firm, as stated above, the effect will be short-lived as the AI manager of the firm will make his/her own decisions which will supersede yours. (for example, the AI manager will change the price again based on his/her judgement soon after you have changed it.)
If you want your decisions on a subsidiary firm to have lasting effects, you may assign yourself, who is the chairman of the subsidiary company, to run the firm directly and release the AI manager from his/her duty as the firm's manager.
My current game I have a multi trillion dollar company, I may have time to occasionally provide direction to my subsidiary but I can't run two companies.

Re: A few questions
whoever is in charge of your subsidary company will decite what to sell, you can change and interfere but its possible that the ceo/coo will change ot back unless you take control yourself of the day to day operations of said firm.WilliamMGary wrote: 1. if you hire both ceo and coo the day to day ops are at the coo by default but you can change it for each firm manually who s in charge. the ceo is representing the company and gets basic guidelines from parent company and if theres a coo he gives basic guidelines to the coo like irl.WilliamMGary wrote: 2. especially if the subsidary has own meat farm in same city and selling it cheaper its very likely he switches back to its own farm. regarding the broken links, havent tested it but i doubt you get a message as its the job of the ceo/coo job to deal with day to day operations.WilliamMGary wrote: 3. if theres no A.I. personality left over that you could hire as a ceo, then you cant open up another subsidary.WilliamMGary wrote: 4. Can you self-setup an unlimited number of subsidiary companies or is there a Cap (http://www.capitalismlab.com/set-up-a-n ... mpany.html)
yes, you can modify each product and add another picture for it and another description to displayWilliamMGary wrote: 5. Does Product Customization allow you to release have different models of a Product for example a Mobile Phone 6 and a Mobile Phone 6S?
well your are giving the ceo of the subsidary basic guidelines and theres a whole lot of settings you can choose to give guidelines, but like irl ... a ceo of a subsidary is hired to run the company and dont ask like a baby for every small issue the parent company ... would get him/her fired very quickly. those guys running your subsidary are taking quite some workload off ya, but as the A.I.'s are not perfect some stuff ya better run yaself.WilliamMGary wrote: Um....I don't think this is a good implementation.
