With the Analysis mode, you could run a factory without dealing with the details on the 3x3 layout, in a more streamlined user interface.

Attached is a mock-up screenshot showing how an express mode for retail stores without the 3x3 layout can potentially be done. If there are sufficient interests on this, further efforts might be put into it.
