Idea: the world map

Post by David »

Would you like to see a world map with real countries and cities where you could expand your business empire? (e.g. build the presence of your Internet company on a global scale.)

The map may look like the attached image. It will play like more a Paradox strategy game where the gameplay activities mainly involve viewing the world map and planning and executing your moves there. There won't be any detailed city views for cities on this world map.

This idea got its root from Piermario's suggestion for "Play with all cities in a database like a global market". But it is not practical to have so many cities with 200x200 city grid in a single game. The only practical way of realizing this suggestion will be to spin it off a new Capitalism style game with no city views, and a new emphasis on the global map.

I must say that this is a very rough idea. If there are interests on this, we will further explore it.

Online game is not our specialty as it requires a completely different set of skills. Most online games use a different time scale and a free to play model, something that is a huge departure from the Capitalism tradition.
