An area that seems to be missed by most is around networking, You may have wireless adapter and wireless controller but there isn't any focus on Wireless routers or any Commercial networking equipment, each vital for the E commerce. Would it be possible just like on the software side to have a O/S for Internet and communication. Ie Cisco, Huwaie, Viacomm, BT, Virgin so that you can have Semi products in that area that directly supports the Internet and communications link exactly the same way. for example to start a communication company you need Cisco Os license, once you have Cisco os, you can build communication center, wireless cisco routers would connect to Cisco Os, amount of subscribers would relate to how many wireless routers sold and infrastructure capacity would be the Cisco network percentage, so the monthly budget would be spent on cisco equipment. It wouldn't necessary need O/s and to be Cisco to Cisco but would be neat.
What I'm trying to achieve is similar to what Software and O/s does for computers, making an E commerce company have to purchase expensive equipment needed for there operations , which in turns makes wireless routers, potentially mobile phones have a different purpose and add more depth using existing frameworks but would require some reprogramming or a DLC.
Ideally I would like to see Telecom become a service provider that has both Voice and Data having subscribers for each, and only then can internet providers work per city, and they would depend on the amount of subscriptions from all service provides in the city, as to would the mobile phone industry, you could have 3 services Land, mobile, Broadband, even offering Fiber optics, and having subscriptions if you will for each. When telecoms have researched 5G then 5G phones would work thru them. Again having more subscriptions thru each service, turning off 3G and 4G when required. Another subscription would be around TV services which would be another area that could be offered. It would open up Media and create semi products within that field. Looking forward to views and comments as always.

FYI, there is a thread on the Digital Age DLC forum https://www.capitalism2.com/forum/viewt ... =42&t=5171 discussing similar ideas. Maybe you could post your inputs there as well.
