Adequate cash level?

Post by ohms_law »

Can someone explain this?

I get that the profit levels decreased (I forced some spending on the subsidiary), but they still have > 8 billion in cash.
It says that adequate cash for expansion is ~$1.4 bil, so what's the issue?

I'm more amazed by the fact that it only has 16 retail firms yet somehow is worth close to 10 billion ... must be that inflation setting I don't play on  [EDIT: oh no wait it actually makes sense because it has 8 billion in cash lol  )

It does seem that the report she gives is probably incorrect. She has plenty of cash but it is more likely the actual profit that is stopping her from expanding. If retail is where she is supposed to get more income and she's bleeeeding money like a pig in a butchery right now, why would the company ever expand further only to create a bigger financial hole?

I had a similar problem though where I set up a subsidiary car engine manufacturer and gave it all the R&D centers. tech and a billion dollars to setup factories and automobile outlets in the cities but it didn't want to actually put those down because it was bleeding money due to the losses from the tech centers ... so it was just chilling with losses when all it needed to do was actually put down the factories and the retail outlets to scoop up the money it needed for its operations. Guess you got to do everything yourself
