Suggestions around small businesses

Some suggestions for people who like to start really small and enjoy things like in the Real World Mod script where you start with just 1 million...

Let's face such a scenario where you have one million. Almost the only thing you can do is to invest in stocks and hope you get up to 3-4 million. But how crazy would it be in real life to invest all your money on the stock market? You even can't pick smaller amounts of stocks, as the smallest are around a million, so you go all in. Not very realistic.

So I thought why not having some possibilities to run small businesses? I think it would be really cool if you could rent an office in one of the commercial buildings and run a small internet or software company (Digital Age DLC) there. It could be a multi-functional firm where you can place manage+programming units, marketing and tech research units and normal R&D, and setup some smaller internet businesses. Maybe this should be restricted to 4 units with each a smaller efficency than the normal units in the usual firms.

Each commercial building could also have room for one or two smaller shops for rent, again with much reduced capacities and efficiency and also restricted to 4 units for purchasing, sales, marketing or private labeling.

If you think more about it maybe there would also be room for renting some space for small production, like old warehouses.

A problem would be that the AI maybe would occupy these places even if they are big, so there should be a mechanism to protect those places, e.g. that this is not really efficient for bigger AI and they simply do not rent these places.

For all real estate strategists there also could be the possibility to build all those bigger store types like supermarket, disount mega store and so on, but only as a real estate for rent, so the Ai could set up their stores there but would not own it. On the other hand such places for rent would also give new opportunities for the human players at the beginning.

I like this idea as Real Estate simply seems like a 'cheat' way to make sustainable profit. Build real estate and forget about it and you sorted.

The game does aim for big corporations to be made but I love a real life scenario kind of game where you do what you would do in real life. Not everyone takes huge loans

Because this is Capitalism so the small bussines or micro bussiness are irrelevant. The idea of capitalism is macro economy, so things like micromanagement on every firm it will take a lot of time, not inline with the idea. I was so happy to see Developer update a lot of feature to make this game more easy to play.

Innacurate, many many many big bussiness operate by giant loan. Listed company get their cash by right issue. I think there is have a different things, small bussiness think about ROI, capitalism think about growth, not only for the bussiness it self but also for the economic growth of nation, cities also.

In this game also in the real life, have many aspect that affect the economic climate, how the economic growth, boom bust cycle, why the situation became depression, expansion, or boom? The CES DLC have a lot of feature to explore. How to combine the political power to make more profit, how to use bussiness power (cash) to get political power. This two things are linked, also in real life.

Yes for me too in real life. But in real life, especially in my country, indonesia. To became a mayor someone need huge amount of cash support. And more and more if someone want to be governor, senator or president. This game so realistic.
