I would suggest shortening the stock panel while still maintaining a scollable stock list so that we can see the latest news without having to leave the stock/financial/ other window as such... Then we can see what's going on in the world everytime we hear the "bong" noise and not have to leave the window.
Or maybe put the news view in the area of the window that I request to be cropped so that we can see the news.
