I set up a couple of tests where I put one city with lots of convenience stores and various linkages and products set, and hired a CMO, CTO and COO. The CTO seems happy to change my research policies, although I'm not sure what the reasoning is. Can you explain how he chooses products to research?
The CMO immediately broke all my links to advertisers, which made me think I'm advertising TOO much, which is possible, so I get that.
However, the COO didn't seem to do much at all. In 6 convenience stores within one block selling 4x body lotion as products he did not add any units, remove any units, or change any units over 1 year.
I was going to say nothing in warehouses changed, but it looks like after last year's experiment, In 5 Warehouses within one blocks distance all selling Tissues/WashingMachines/WashingMachines/Mobiles what was changed was one started selling jeans instead of tissues, one started selling washing powder instead of tissues, one started selling computers instead of tissues, and one started selling backpacks instead of tissues. None of them added a 4th product
What happened here?
Is there any explanation of how they decide to switch things up or how much I can rely upon them?
Either COO does nothing or I'm testing wrong

in my experience, COO will do the best in retailing if i build the special retail store, it will be easy to sell specific product that my company have an expertize. i am hiring the COO to raise retailing level to 6. so i can sold more quantity in my store than control it by my self start from level 1. COO also can change the price to be more competitive, that i dont want to micro manage. But COO cannot do something like open sales or purchasing unit, open 2nd or 3rd floor.so i will do it manually. While the CEO of subsidiary can do that.
COO always have limitation, their role for my opinion its just to help raising level of retailing or manufacturing that person player dont have as a default setting in game play.
