If all the players have the same bug but David can't reproduce it, I'll end up believing that David has a better version ^^.

Could you also send your backup? It will be easier for the development team if several players send in a save with a similar problem.

Somehow I'm paying for 'Wages' through 'Salaries Expense' eventhough I don't have any firms or employees

How to reproduce?
Just run any game and watch how you are mysteriously paying wages for a non-existent employee when you don't even have any firm on the board yet.

Is this a new mechanic to simulate the living expenses of CEO's?

All AI's seem to be affected by this bug as well.

I can confirm it was fixed for the player ...

However ...

The AI still seems to suffer from this recent change in how CEO salaries are handled. As all the AI's continue to have their CEO's take wages when they haven't even setup a business or company HQ yet. I believe this may actually cause companies NOT to invest or build new firms at all due to a result of negative profit inhibiting further business expansion. This is potentially pretty bad for AI company behavior.

I'd recommend that AI CEO's don't actually take a salary until they have either 'stocks' in other companies (for stock focused AI's) or setup their first firm on the board. I think it probably should be fixed in such a way that CEO's don't take a salary at all until the HQ building is actually built on the map. Right now it creates the weird situation where the CEO office isn't needed to pay out a CEO salary for AI's. While not game breaking or anything like that it is a bit odd and counter-intuitive in how the gameplay is intended where one needs an HQ to do this.

This has been fixed. An AI CEO won't get a salary until his/her company is profitable and a corporate HQ has been setup.
