Create a checkbox to buy multiple technologies - POLL

Post by olya-tek »

Imagine a situation where you want to buy several types of technologies.
Right now - every time you have to choose each technology individually. Something that takes a long time!
In the next update, I suggest asking the developers of the game to create a check box, where you can press V and choose to buy a large number of technologies at the same time.
And it does not have to be just about buying technologies, it could be either filtering or other things in the game.
A very convenient thing and enhances the gaming experience.
what do you think? Do you also think it is worth adding such a function to the game? (See picture for illustration) ;)

How would your suggestion deal with some Corporations not wanting to sell

I voted yes, but under the premise that the behaviour should be changed to show only tech you can actually acquire. This could be done in such way that the highest ask amount is used - kind of a shortcut way to acquire tech but at a higher cost. If you want to pay less you have to negotiate like before. Essentially companies are "advertising" their tech for sale, which could also be a useful feature for when the player wants to sell to the AI.

That said, it feels to me like tech and R&D improvements could be a good focus area for Enlight in general for the next DLC. There are lots of ideas here, including, but certainly not limited to:
- Licensed production
- Prototypes might be required in order to successfully build certain products
- More flexibility and scope within a single R&D unit, rather than having to spam buildings
- Proprietary tech more of a benefit (ties in with licensing)
- etc

There is definitely something in your words, but in any case in my opinion the function I suggested can shorten game times and improve the user experience.
One has to let the player choose whether he wants such a function or not. It is possible even at the beginning of the game - in the settings, to enable or disable this function and that way each player will choose how he wants to experience the game - this can be good for young or older players when sometimes the free time is not enough for them to play.
